  • great film, EPIC soundtrack!

  • epic music

  • i salute MR.HANS ZIMMER!!!!!!

  • BTW, the 5th and 6th Centuries AD are the most fascinating centuries in human history and I advise anyone with an interest in history to read about this period. Especially a book called "Warlords: the struggle for power in post-Roman Britain" by Stuart Laycock. The best history book I've ever read apart from Res Gestae by Ammianus Marcellinus of course.

  • The music is very brassy with heavy percussion i like it...

  • Schöne Musik ... aber irgendwie wabert sie etwas konturlos dahin ...

  • Tristan was the best.

  • @LeMightyJer yah dude he died when that stupid saxon massacred him on the battlefield

  • This is one of the most epic soundtracks ever along with LOTR and POTC

  • @ToastedCigar Couldn't agree more. LOTR and POTC has the most amazing soundtracks. I have to say that Harry Potter has great soundtracks too.

Best composers in my opinion: Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, John Williams..

  • This film has epic soundtracks :)

  • Owain son of Macsen told the British warlords at a coucil that he waspreparing to abdicate as Magister, citing serious problems with the Irish in his own territories. A squabble immediately broke out between Coel Hen and Vitellius as to who would follow him as British leader. Civil war loomed. Bishop Germanius proposed that Constantine of Brittany, Owain's son in law, should be the compromise choice, and this was done. But Vitellius revolted and was killed with Pictish mercenaries at Coventry.

  • @54markl Shortly after this, Constantine was assasinated by a Pictish messenger sent by Vortigern, the son of Vitellius. Vortigern became High King (or Emperor) and tried to do away with Constantine's young sons. But their mother fled with them to Brittany, where they grew up. Ambrosius led an abortive invasion against Vortigern a few years later, but had to flee to Carmarthen. Here he married the daughter of the king, Sabrina. Their son was Merlin.

  • @54markl Cynan, the king of Dumnonia, revolted against Vortigern and declared himself High King with the new name Riothamus. When Ambrosius and Uther occupied Wichester a few years later, Cynan's brother Gwrwawr joined them. The brothers defeated Cynan and drove him from Britain, but he became king in northern Brittany. The magister of Gaul enlisted Cynan's aid in fighting the Visigoths, but he was defeated by them at Bourges. He fled to Burgundy and returned to Brittany with a German bride.

  • @54markl While in Brittany, Cynan Riothamus was baptized by Saint Winwaloe and became known as John Reith. His half-Burgundian son, Daniel, later became king of all Brittany and an important ally of Arthur. In his continuing fight against the regime of south Brittany, Riothamus enlisted the aid of Saxon pirates from the Channel Islands, who settled briefly in Britanny. Their chief Elesa married the sister of Riothamus; their son was Cerdic, who later brought the Saxons to Britain.

  • @54markl Cerdic established a beachhead in south Hampshire; although he was supposed to be fighting for his uncle and financier John Reith's right to the throne, he soon declared himself king of Britain. Arthur killed him at the Battle of Badon. Arthur made Cerdic's son Creoda a subsidiary king, and made the Saxons of Charford his vassals. But Arthur's daughter Anna eloped with Creoda's son Cerdic the Younger, and went with him back to Saxon territory. Arthur was busy with Mordred's revolt.

  • @54markl Where did you get that story from? And I hope you realise it is just a story. The persona of King Arthur was probably based on a real historical figure or an amalgamation of real figures from the late 5th and early 6th centuries but virtually nothing in known about him/them for certain.

  • @5thcenturyad Please read a fine book called "The Age of Arthur," by John Morris. He was real all right.

  • @54markl I havent read it in its entirety but I have read several excertps and reviews online. 1973 was a generation of archaeological discoveries and theories ago. Apparently "Dr Morris was a widely respected scholar until he published this book." And "Its a wonderful book, as historical fiction if nothing else." However I agree with you on one point: I certainly hope that Arthur existed. But there are so many theories e.g. "He was a German mercenary who fought other Germans (Laycock 2009).

  • Arthur was born (461 AD) when the Roman Empire was still in existence, that Roman armor is correct. The Saxon king, Cerdic, had a Welsh name; he was half-British, the nephew of Riothamus, Arthur's enemy in Brittany. Arthur killed him, and made his son creoda a client king. Creoda had a son named Cerdic the Younger, a hostage at Camelot. Arthur tried to get his daughter to marry Maelgwn, the handsome young prince of North Wales; but he was gay. Anna eloped with Cerdic to Charford.

  • @54markl Why do I tell you this? Because Cerdic and Anna had a son, Cynric, who is the ancestor of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and all them. Cynric had an Irish name, because he was named for an uncle (who Arthur also killed at Mount Badon in 495) who was half-Irish. His son Ceawlin destroyed the Welsh in what is now England and drove them to Wales. He was called Bretwalda, the High King. He had an Irish name too. These first "West Saxons" were about half Celtic through intermarriage.

  • As for Creoda Half-Angle, he was killed fighting for Mordred at the Battle of Camblam (515 AD). Arthur was sorely wounded, but recovered at Glastonbury. Disgusted with having killed his son, Arthur abdicated to his nephew, went to the Isle of Man, and was a shepherd for the rest of his life. His Scottish grandson Gregor went to see the old man shortly before he died. Gregor asked him why he had killed his father Amr (Arthur's bastard son). Arthur told him Amr had tried to kill him for the crown.

  • @54markl Do it is very interesting what you've written... What are your sources of information? (books or web pages)? I would like to read more by me same... thanks in advance

  • @garrasinsombra Many of these theories originate with me, but please read "The Discovery of King Arthur" by Geoffrey Ashe.

  • People who like King Arthur shit arereally disillusioned.

  • Merlin

Druid wizard of the fairy religion.

The wild man of the woods.

His real name is Myrrdin or Ambrosius.

He learned his magic from the goddess Morgan la fate.

  • @MrRjmac Merlin was the cousin of Arthur, the son of the famous Aurelianus Ambrosius, Uther's brother and predecessor. His mother was Sabrina, high priestess of the Druidical college, and daughter of Ednyfed, King of Demetia and grandson of Macsen Wledig. Merlin's grandson, Aurelius Caninus, was a cruel and dissolute youth. When Arthur's nephew Constantine resigned in disgrace after murdering Mordred's sons on the church altar at Winchester, Caninus suceeded him and was a very bad High King.

  • @54markl But Constantine couldn't knock off Mordred's daughter Morgana; some kindly monks hid her in Ergyng. She married the king of Ergyng, Gwrgan, and her son was the somewhat famous Caradoc Vreichfas. Old Caradoc would never willingly discuss his unusual ancestry, but his grandson was named Mordred.

  • I Love it forever

  • was very possibly quite a legendary figure even that early! Certainly in the British north anway. Of course the romance stuff (round table etc etc) was all added in later centuries to suit the times.

  • @kingfisher559 The very first mention of Arthur is from a poem thought to have been written by Aneirin around the year 600AD. It is called Y Gododdin and deals with the warriors of the Gododdin (ie Votadini of Roman times) who rode down from their stronghold in Edinburgh to fight the Angles of Deira at Catterick. One warrior is described as being brave yet is no Arthur. It is so brief and straightforward a comment that it seems anyone hearing the poem is expected to know who Arthur was - so he

  • Love this movie and the soundtrack was amazin

  • Buf... Simply E-P-I-C.

  • i dont really understant why he has an roman uniform? can somebody explain me?

  • @Marlik48 haha srry i'm dutch, but didn't you watch the movie? He served for the romans, many males had to

  • @xssmmx No,... I saw it long time ago when i was a child... not really a small :-D but not interrested in...

  • @xssmmx The Dutch started out Celtic too, they were the Menapii who fought the Roman invaders so tenaciously. But then the German tribe called the Batavi came from Hesse and drove them out of the Dutch island at the mouth of the Rhein. The Menapii got into ships and fled to Ireland and the Isle of Man.

  • @Marlik48 oh because in the begining it says a giant battle took place then the roman army captured some few brave knights then they were told that all of your decendents will become elite of the roman empire arthur wants to be roman the others don't

  • @Marlik48 If we are to the context of the age of Arthur (late 5th century, early 6th), this is almost late Roman period. Many historians believe that it is more accurate to think in an Arthur using Roman armour (because probably at that time was an important influence of Roman culture) which in a shining armor King fought in fair of Knights in the 14th century. Therefore, their Cavalry units probably resembled most Roman Cavalry units that Knights of the time of the Crusades

  • @garrasinsombra There was no such thing as Medieval armor until about 500 years after Arthur died.

  • @54markl Yes, that's what I said...... thanks for your response

  • @Marlik48 When Arthur was born (461 AD), the Roman Empire was still in existence, although all Roman troops were withdrawn from the island in 411 AD to fight the Germans elsewhere. The western Roman Empire ended in 476., but Roman culture persisted in britain until at least Arthur's death in 515. Arthur was considered the "Roman" emperor of Britain while he was alive. When the Romans left, Owain was the magister of Britain for a number of years; he was a son of Maximus, a former Roman emperor.

  • @54markl Owain got tired of trying to rule the anarchic island, and passed control over to his son-in-law Constantine, son of the magister of Armorica (Brittany). Constantine was the first post-Roman king of Britain. Vortigern had him assassinated and became king. But Vortigern himself was toppled by Constantine's sons, Ambrosius and Eleutherius (Uther). Arthur was Uther's only son.

  • what king arthur real? XD dum question but I really dont know

  • @fabolous2006 All legends are based in fact, They believe he did exist, and the same general things happened, you know.... the standard "Based on a true story" thing. According to legend, he shall return with Excalibur (his sword) when mankind is at our darkest hour and lead us back to the light.

  • @fabolous2006 Yes, Britain remained Celtic until the 570s because of him.

  • 6:12 what track is that?

  • @creaturelover woad to ruin

  • @SuperRoflcopter12345 Thanks :)

  • I'm sure a track in this film was also in pirates of the caribbean dead mans chest. I think it plays before the Kraken eats Jack i'm not sure

  • @pottyaboutpotter1 Agreed.

  • @pottyaboutpotter1 Both soundtracks are composed by Hans Zimmer; no doubt, you're mistaking one soundtrack for the other due to the composer's style. Zimmer's soundtracks are usually pretty recognizable.

  • Transformers theme at 6:36 !

  • idk y r=this song makes me want to ssay this LONG LIVE GERMANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PrinceofPrussia10 You're saying long live Germany despite the fact this is a song for King Arthur, a British myth/legend?

    That's odd lol.

  • @B8rkley yes because who composed this song its german lol thats why the said that....IM just saying:P

  • Comment removed

  • @PrinceofPrussia10 The Angles, Saxons and Jutes, German tribes from Schleswig-Holstein, were Arthur's bitterest enemies. They destroyed his world a few decades after his death. Arthur was Welsh, he would not appreciate the sentiment "Long Live Germany," since he spent his entire life fighting German invaders of Britain. The descendants of these German tribes are the present-day English, but Arthur's people are now crammed into Wales. Before the invasion, they owned the whole island.

  • I love this song=)

  • He is the best!!!!!!!!

  • STRENTH & HONOR! Arthur made dream possible, Rome forever

  • @CroPETROforever FUCKING FAGGET! Arthur fought for a GREATER CAUSE! even greater than ya rome. HE FOUGHT FOR FREEDOM!!!!!!

  • @dadeecc He belived in Rome, but not corrupt, but honest and pure Rome as was once... He tried to show that to britons.

  • @CroPETROforever True but us britons already had purity, courage and honour.

  • @CroPETROforever The Britains were angry at Rome for abandoning them. They sent a plea to Aetius, the Roman commander, to send the Roman troops back to Britain. But Aetius told them they were needed for fighting Attila and told them they were on their own. The British repudiated the Romans from that point forward, and Rome itself ended soon after. Arthur called himself the Emperor of Britain. When the Frankish king Clovis told him he had been made Consul of the West, Arthur said so what?

  • these kind of music is great

  • hans zimmer = best compositor in the world and of all time!

  • Hans Zimmer , germany is proud

  • Hans Zimmer is the best in what he does...

  • Hans Zimmer is so BRILLANT!

  • Hans Zimmer is a great artist! BEAUTIFUL MUSIC That he makes is just amzing for Pirates of thee Caribbean and King Arthur and many more :D

  • FANTASTIC MUSIC*______*

  • awesome.

  • The sound track as the movie is awesome. I have resurected Arthor symbolicly as the champion for the environment in the music video" Mother Nature's Beauty-The knights of Camelot".

  • @TheKnightsOfCamelot No offense but King Author in the story was a champion for Christ and justice as that was his beliefs, not of pagan druid nature beliefs, in this movie most of his knights were pagans though.

  • @MegaDude1969 Most of the the stories of King Arthur including the search for the holy grail were entirely fictional. One thing sure is that he was the son of Uther Pendragon ( not Roman blood) and his true name was Owien Ddantgwen while his title name was Arthor. There was at least 50 years of peace during and after the reign of Arthur in the west of England were the saxons had not been able to conquere. I chose the name The Knights Of Camelot because the legend also represents justice.
