The reason its called that and it's purpose is that when you hit it, you take a bigger hit than you would normally. The smoke doesn't hit you as hard and there for you can hit it longer and harder.

Your concept works great except for one flaw. The smoke lingers to long inside the bottle making the hit stale. Do you have a fish pump? They pump small amounts of air when you run it dry. What i did was install and seal the pump outake tube to the bottom of the ketchup bottle. then all you do is swiitch on the pump and use the carb on the side to activate the smoke stream out of the ketchup bottle. Try it! I swear it works and you will roast a whole joint in under two minuets.

HA! shows how much you know.... How long can a fish pump run when it is properly pumping water? 2-5 years. How OFTEN does a fish pump normally run?? i would say almost 24/7 except when you clean it.

Unless you smoke like 500 joints a day you will NEVER burn out that pump in your lifetime. trust me i've tried and its still going.....

Yeah bro, I made one out of a sports bottle and a metal tube. With a plastic tube, you have the chance of melting it, and inhaling that shit... which is definitely uncool. I decided to make mine after my bro showed me his 1970's original "power hitter". It still works like a charm too!

I made one back in the '80s out of a French's mustard squeeze bottle. I used a .222 shell case with the head cut off and the mouth belled to accept the cig of choice. I wrapped electrical tape around the case so it would fit on the inside of the bottle valve. It worked like a charm.

For those who asked, the point is to get a very concentrated stream of smoke you can't really do with lips.
