  • try to check out my friends video. Just search f2l lookahead pcwizcube

  • I can tell that your look ahead is why your times are suffering. You definitely need to consciously force yourself to look away from the pieces you're solving to find the next pieces. When you find a corner, don't watch it. Let the cross color stick out and follow it in your mind while you find the edge. You shouldn't lose the corner. I got stuck at 22, and again at 17, and am almost sub 15 now. It's all about the look ahead, seriously. I didn't want to believe it at first, but it's true.

  • @xxoxia oh yeah I know that's true lol. I have my moments. I'm a 22 average now. that was an old video. I really understand the need for lookahead. I'm getting better though. Just takes practice.

  • @crazybadcuber dont get a stackmat cubetimer, its better to use the online timer

  • @theoreticalphysosist too late. I got one for Christmas. I like using an online or iPhone timer better because it tells me my averages, but I also need to practice on a stack mat so I'm used to it for competitions =)

  • nice video, i liked it. i'm like you with my cubing. i'd like to get faster but right now i'm averaging around 30 (on 50 cubes). my pb of 12 is around 26,XX. my PB is 18,93 but i only manage to do 3 sub 20.

i got a friend who cubes a lot. at least 100 solves each day! every day! it helps... he told me that i should try 2 things: Slow solves and solves without rotating the cube.

i'll continue with your videos! (the F2L one for example :) )

  • @noriega78 thanks for the comment. Yeah I've been slowing down a lot and learning to look ahead more. Now my average is around 23-24 seconds and my pb is 16.73

  • @crazybadcuber : wow congrats :). i've been watching your videos about advance F2L and also look ahead. i'm struggling with some F2L cases. and i'm not doing look ahead at all. i should really slow down ^^.

you improved . it would be cool if you could do another avg of 12 and comment it. i've been stuck at around 30s of average (avg of 50) for a couple of month. i'll try what you said. my goal for a near future is to be around 25 (avg of 50)

  • @noriega78 yeah don't get too discouraged with staying at the same time for a long time. I was around 30 seconds for 5 or 6 months. Then my averaged dropped 5-6 seconds over a single weekend. You'll get to a point where you'll just start looking ahead. Keep in mind you can't look ahead if you don't know how to do F2L cases without thinking about them. So it all happened in time =)

  • This is a little off topic, but what is that timer program there?

  • @MrVincentge it's called qqtimer. Just google it and it will be the first one you see

  • 7:26 to 7:30 was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • like it

  • Did you got to the Canadian Open 2011?

  • @xTremeCuber no. Like I said I barely time myself and I don't compete. I don't know, I don't need to have an official average. Cubing is fun for me, but I don't have to try and prove that I'm faster than the next guy. Maybe one day, but right now I'm just happy learning stuff and sharing information. I would go to competitions, just to watch though =)

  • It takes a lot of practice to get fast F2L. Basically it all comes down to practice, and getting used to putting in pairs while trying to do it without looking so you can look at other pieces. It takes so much practice, but I think you could do it in about a month! Good Luck!

  • I really like your detailed explanations and look forward to any tutorials you might be doing in the near future. Keep up the videos! Thanks

  • @StarPower9502 yeah that was me

  • @crazybadcuber I have the same problem and I can't break myself of the habit-my best time is 33second with 2look OLL and full PLL

  • @StarPower9502 yeah I'm a part of that group but I haven't been to a cube meet at metro town in months. Work always get's in the way. lol. I'm planning on attending this Sunday though.

  • @StarPower9502 thanks for the advice, I will practice that. I knew I just had to slow down a bit. What I don't understand is how a person can FIND pieces when the cube is moving that fast. I assume it's a glimpse and then tracking starts from there, I guess I'll find out soon enough =)

  • wow we are very close then in times. hey man keep up the good work. we both struggle with F2L and cross is mediocre. we should really talk more my friend. subbed to you. sub back if you like my videos
