Thanks. I just figured out the 3D rendering mode before I got your reply. I am happy they store the raw 3d and its not a hard-coded version of 3d in the actual video.  This leaves future rendering possibilities wide open. I am curious though why I can't find any information in the upload section about how to upload or prepare 3D videos of my own...

@xapplimatic quick and dirty method: upload an x-eye vid and add this to your TAGS:

yt3d:enable=true

there are a few more buttons and switches.Search the forums for "yt3d".

@xapplimatic It is cross eye. You've just selected the wrong render mode from the youtube menue. Explore a little and you'll find you can view the video in multiple 3D formats.

Well Cross Eye 3D is made of 2 different screens. This is usuall 3D animation. You can even cross your brain and you will not see 3D thing in it.

it is NOT fake. it was filmed with 2 synchronised cameras and you can chose your viewing preferences from the 3D Viewing Style drop down menu under the video.

i know what you mean, i learned it today and haven't got anymore problems - it's ez once you've figured it out.

You don't have to focus on the "air" between you and the image, focus on the image and let it merge by crossing your eyes.

Then, when the middle picture is there (inner two of the four pictures overlapping) keep your eyes steady...your eyes will try to correct the focus and after some seconds then image should be sharp..

but i've not figured out how to do it on those red/blue images

your suppose to look up close and cross your eyes then when you see 3 screens slowly move back tell it looks real vivid and relax your eyes

ps. when viewing videos like this make sure its set to parrallel

well, once the two images overlap in the center, it should just kinda "lock" there.

Ebay have created a new feature whereby you can select different 3d viewing methods. You should see a little drop down menu just below the video saying

"3D viewing Style"

you can select cross eye OR 3d glasses.

Actually this vid is a bit rough. I'm going to re-do it in a higher resolution and with improved aspect ration. I've already improved 3 others. Have a look in my channel for them if you like.

cross your eyes till you see a blurry 3rd pic in the middle and try to keep that middle video there till the eyes focus then its 3d :)

Same way I do the anaglyphic movies. I film from 2 different angles with 2 cameras then combine the 2 movies with 'stvmkre aka stereo movie maker'.

I know you'll see three images, the middle one is the 3D. I moved my hands holding in front of me that i din't see the right and left image, having the hand in front of them. Thats cool, you don't have to bother with the two non stereo ones. What's happening is: right hand blocks right eye to see right image and the same way with the left hand. Hmm, someone could build something - my hand gets aching :P
