went to watch gentlemen of jazz in buxton last thursday, dear old acker played thru the whole set, played much better than on this clip..mr. ball however was not on form and hardly hit one note all night, and walked off stage to feature the band several times..i met acker that night and shook his hand and thanked him for all the wonderfull music and pleasure he has given down the years..

I saw Kenny the Other night, he was getting over a chest infection and although he started off very strongly he did go down hill towards the end, and did have to try again on the very last note. I'm so pleased he got it. Met him afterwards and he was a gentlemen.

greetings from germany--these gentlemen are real legends-- adore them--You won't find them again--the trumpet of kenny is only--his blues is makein' me once again crazy--ball' and his clarinet is still workin' not only the hit that he made but the just expierence of that clarinet that morning leads us into future..
