Yes, while this is Nodoame's cover on Love is War, he made one of the Kaito version. Basically still Love is War, but from a man's point of view instead, so the words in the lyrics were changed for that purpose.

Actually, no. I'm sorry, but Nodoame is a real person. He's a singer, and in this video he's merely doing a cover on a Vocaloid song. Kaito is indeed the voice-synching software, and far as I know, it is nigh impossible to have a machine mimic this kind of intensity. You might be referring to something else.

Nodoame often uses Kaito's image as something like his avatar, usually when singing covers of Vocaloid songs. It's a common thing for Niconico Singers to do when uploading their work. I suppose you could also say that it makes it easier to associate the covers with the vocaloid that originally sung the song, or something like that.

Though I haven't actually seen what Nodoame looks like yet. Perhaps you can try searching his mylist? xD
