You seem to forget the teaching of the Catholic church isn't decided by votes and democracy, it is base don Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture and authoritatively set forth by the Pope, not what a majority of americans happened to think to do in the 21st century. You should read the Catechsim before speaking, and learn your faith, we pass on what we receive, we don't invent it our mould the faith to suit our tastes.
