I saw this movie on TV as a child and loved it...well except for the ending. But it's nice to see it again. Why don't they make more movies like this nowa days?
I caught this movie on TV when I was about 8 years old. I never knew the name of it, but I still remember it clearly. The ending absolutely devastated me. I'm glad I can watch it again as an adult. I think I'll understand it differently now. Thank you for uploading it!
I'm still remember how incredibly devastated and sad I was when Mij got killed by that ditchdigger...I was probably 8 years old when I watched it on tv...loved the movie, the otter and then...WHACK...Mij got killed...f***** up way to end a movie intended for kids...yeah...I know...Merrill and Dr. Mary laters "mets" Mij baby otters but stilll... :-)
@MoorLetoh Trust me unless you want to ball your head off you do not want to see that part. I just skip over it. It is in part 10. The rest of the movie is funny and great....
BTW, has anyone else ever heard otters making that sort of "hmf-hmf-hmf" noise that Mij is making, because all I've ever heard them do is a high-pitched squeal.
This was one of the movies I grew up with (along with the first Wallace and Gromit films), and to this day, I still LOL when I think of Mij messing up Graham's house.
Thank you for posting this. Only yesterday I had told a friend in Canada about it; as my parents took me to see it when it was first released. The end is so painful, but perhaps watching it again now will have me understand what I did not at 6.
@39darkblade aren't they just precious? I have always thought they were so cool...and when they are floating on their backs and breaking open mussels and such, well, that just sends me over the edge ....epic cuteness for sure! :)
thank you so much - I'd forgotten about this movie that I watched when I was a child. I've now ordered the dvd to show my own kids - except I don't think I'll be able to watch the end.....
Ha ha! My mother is the opposite. She hates it and I sometimes call 'Mij' out loud when an otter turns up somewhere on TV or whatever to annoy her XD.
Having just finished reading the books (yes, all three) this is a wonder to find.

@Madsennullo-Well I guess there's no point in me watching this, now that I know the otter gets flattened by a ditch diggers spade.
