To all the fucktards bitching about him saying Vergil is a Dante clone - he meant in MvC3. Fighting games are notorious for re-using characters by slightly altering their moveset and visuals. Super Smash Brothers is a perfect example of this - Adult Link and Kid link, Captain Falcon and Ganondorf, Ness and Lucas in Brawl, amongst others.

@xPunchyMidgetx I personally don't see the problem with clones in that manner. Take Captain Falcon and Ganondorf in Melee for example. While Ganondorf's moves are more powerful than Captain Falcon's, They both have different mobility suited to the players' tastes.

Vergil's moveset even in DMC was significantly different from Dante's, which is really no surprise considering your entire moveset shifts completely depending on what weapon you have equipped. So if he was a dante clone, someone needed to be slapped. The one I'm interested in is Trish... I dunno for sure what if any games you unlock her in, so I have no idea what she ought to be able to do.

He has had 4. 1 is his Japanese voice for MvC3 so that means 3. 1 of those is his voice when he is Nelo Angelo (not really Vergil) so that means 2 .of those 2 one is his voice for when he is younger so that means 1 voice actor for the Vergil that is in MvC3 . So how many choices do they have?

Looking at DLC alternates makes me definitley want to buy this game at midnight tonight, as before i was dissapointed because most characters just had color changes. Much more effort went into this for most characters. This makes me interested in playing characters i wouldnt have been before. I thought Taskmaster was a lame inclusion before but his DLC alternate is so badass!!! and i didnt even recognize Magneto, which is awesome. Also Megaman X is an alternate for Zero.

Im not even a Megaman fan but i may puchase this because i think the Megaman X alt. is cooler than Zero. Wish they would do the same for Thor with a Beta Ray Bill alternate. Also, i was so let down with Hawkeyes gay ass purple outfit, but he does have a badass black and red color scheme, and his DLC alternate is BADASS

@kaycasey0813 Im relieved they actually did some model changes instead of just color designs, instead of releasing another version of this game, just release more DLC, a couple new characters 4 or 5 times a year, and i think all fans will be satisfied. Dont release another sequel, or version, until the character roster is around 75 or something. The greatest thing about gaming today is that we can recieve updates instead of waiting 10 years for a sequel. Here me out Capcom. BLADE AS DLC PLZ!

For your information, everyone, to put it straight - Vergil's moves come from (yes, MadaraXIII is also saying this below me) Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition - where the three weapons that Vergil uses are the Yamato (main weapon, a hugeass katana), Force Edge (A sword that gives Vergil Dante's abilities minus the guns) and Beowulf (Short range but powerful and using gauntlets and boots to dish out damage). All moves in UMvC3 for Vergil are a combination of moves from DMC3 Special Edition.

Summoned swords can both be used for Blistening Swords(homing proyectile) or Spiral Swords(over the head proyectile with OTG properties)

Devil Trigger has the same properties as Dante's

Badass level 3 apparently uses whatever is left of the DT gauge to increase the damage, so the more you have in it, the harder it hits

And yes, Vergil is not Vergil if not voiced by Daniel Southworth, just like Dante with Reuben L. and Nero with JYB.

@meHateThumbzUpWh0res Strider's ouroboros can shoot free projectiles throughout the duration of all of ouroboros special and he can gain one more level of meter. Vergil's "ouroboros" works more like spiral's swords. It can't shoot projectiles until it switches modes and when it switches they don't function like ouroboros and can only be shot, it is also weaker. It seems however that Vergil's has more combo ability than Strider's. So it's debatable.
