I didnt get this game expecting it to be RE4. Its dumb to try and compare a console game to a handheld. But as far as a handheld RE game goes it is relly good. Surprisingly great graphics on the 3ds. Shows what the system can do with the right developers working on a game. Also shows that nintendo can put shooters on a handheld.If you have a 3ds I say buy it. 8.5 out of 10.

This game is one of the best I played on a 3DS this year. Though gameplay to me felt dumbeddown compared to 4-5 and a has the ammo/herb conservation like the old ones but not as slow and fustrating. The custom parts is a cool addition but I miss the upgrading weapons/armor and treasures you find and sell. Plus I also miss item drops, it feels satisfying when killing a horrific beast big/small and earning goodies when defeated. :D Feels rewarding. BTW doesn't the setting feel like Deep Rising?

This was one of the best Resident Evil games I've ever played. It scared the living crap out of me. I beat it in a few days and now my sister plays it and she jumps at the zombies and she watches every horrer film known to man, and I thought she was a beast but it makes me laugh! What I'm saying is don't pass this game up it amazing

i played the demo, and it was shitty as fuck. I think everyone's standards are lowering because even though RE5 wasn't even CLOSE to being as good as 4, they still want to like Resident Evil. But playing Resident Evil 4, and then playing a new resident evil on a modern system that came out YEARRRRS later, I played it and just thought "my god, what is this."

Maybe the rest of the game was better than the demo though. But a demo's job is to make me want to play the game. Which it didn't.

Sometimes I just think Jessica should be a blonde dumbass since she points out the obvious and predicts the predictable then gloats about it like a bitch ( for example when Chris and Jessica explored the wrong ship, a door was violently shuffling and she says " I bet you something is behind that door" and obviously something comes out) and She's THE BIGGEST DRAMA QUEEN EVER. I like that you can set it to third person for the aiming. Also you can move while aiming you just can't adjust your aim at the same time. Just hold L while aiming and you can move.

@meg5493 There are files and documents, the puzzles are very easy, I wouldn't really consider them puzzles. If you play on Casual difficulty, the game gives you a lot of health and a good amount of ammo. After you get the Genesis, make sure to use it, as it gives you tons of ammo. I love it, its a great game. :)

@meg5493 The puzzles aren't like the orignal puzzles. Its more like "This door has a shotgun behind it but its locked. Find what you need to unlock it." But most of those types of puzzles aren't required. The main story is very straight-forward. Thats why it pays off to explore.

@MultiBr3tt ahhhh ic. From a few people, I heard the Circle Pad pro works alright with it. But then there is a great variety of control schemes for this game, so I think in terms of gameplay, it should please almost anyone. Well since you want to get into the RE franchise, I think this would be a good way to start since it blends the oldschool RE with some of the new RE so you'll have a feel of what RE today may offer. Best of Luck with your choice!

10 hours is a decent length for a portable game. Especially considering this is one of the games that really pushes the 3DS. God of War really pushed the PSP and that game was only about 5 hours but this is double the length. Many console games are also about 10 hours so this is a full package of a portable game. If only all developers would put this much work in a game.

At about 3:18 she says that you have to choose when to stand still and shoot or when you should move. While aiming with R you can move and strafe with L at the same time. I think you should make note of that.

Played the demo, was already going to buy it but since I really enjoyed the demo I'm hyped and can't wait for the release. I thought the circle pad add-on would be completely necessary if you wanted to play with move + shoot controls, but the gryo surprisingly works really well, at least for a game like Resident Evil where it's slower paced and you're mostly in cramped areas, not requiring you to aim all over the place. But I will be getting the add-on anyway
