  • I don't want 2 her ur music playing! why do people do this?!? IT'S DUMB!!!

  • I would have preferred you explaining your items rather than an annoying song playing.

  • hey dude whayever every body else says this is a kick ass song lol

  • PS that is a nice backback, am trying to figure out which pack to get, currently have old school backpack, want something more durable with Molle loops.

  • The Starkist Tuna in foil packets taste very good, and they are super compact, you only need to tear open the top. Much lighter than tuna cans. Also some granola bars/CLIF bars/etc. are handy, quick easy to eat snacks as needed. Thanks for posting your video, gave me some more ideas.

  • if your hands are so soft that you need gloves when chopping wood then a Bob is the least of your worries.

  • Why don't fixing camera somewhere and get video stabilized. It seems to be on a boat!

  • thumbs down for creed ur a bitch

  • Jesus---get a $30.00 tripod and use both hands!! Dont waste our time...

  • good vid bro. cant wait to get my vids up..

  • gotta admit, i do love a bit of creed.

  • You might want to look at the AMK Thermolite bivvy. It is ideal for a survival situation because it is so small rolled up (about as small as a role of toilet paper) and so big unfolded. It reflects 90% of your body heat back to you. I use mine for a summer sleeping bag system.

  • @Nighthawk961 I pack a HEATSHEETS BIVVY myself. Good call!

  • Bag name is this Maxpedition

    Lunada Gearslinger Right ???

  • @seven47katana It's a Maxpedition Vulture II Backpack

  • WD-40 is anything BUT a lubricant. It's a Drying agent.

  • need at least 1 16oz bottle of water . . . at least.

  • WD40 is not a lubricant it's a water displacer... Still good to have though.

  • how much was th mess kit

  • It's also good to see someone finally is bringing more than just a gun supply for a small army

  • Pretty well planned out

I didn't understand the "knife lubrication" though..

  • good video but what is a survival bracelet

  • Type in anywhwere for basic survival skills....

  • looks to clean :) go get some use out of it :)

  • nice kit. your little clear case could carry some fishing tackle to be more multi purpose Also a monocular is a good space/weight saver. One thing i did with my mess kit was put clean dry sock in between each pot/pan for noise and to have extra dry socks (also absorbs moisture). Also instead of canned foods weight, you could carry protein powders, cliff bars, oats, energy shots, the pastas are good.

  • hahaha no can opener

  • @rainevivan

    hahaha yes can opener

  • @Gorilman34 No can opener use a rock to break the seal.

  • @rainevivan Look at part 2

  • just a question.... whats the survival bracelet for? im starting my own survival BOB, and i am looking around for supplies now

  • @BIILYBOB999 it a large length of strong rope when unwound

  • @highlandhammer oh ok thanks

  • Looks like a well-thought-out BOB set up - but good heaven's man, if I wanted to listen to Creed I'd have that running in the background!! People look for BOB videos to get ideas for their own setups - lose the soundtrack and narrate it. We want to hear your rationale for the gear you selected.

  • @madaxe606

Yeah, it's cool. I have another channel now though which my friend and I narrate reviews. This was done a while ago.

  • Good to see so many people are preparing them selves to stay free and alive in this great nation, I think every American should be ready for what is going to be called one of the biggest scars in our American or even world history. Keep working on your kit and always be ready.

  • Nice job, no offence but i would just ditch the binoculars.. I hunt a lot and in the begining i thought yay what a great thing and yeah it looks nice in a pack..but wait until you get lugging those things for 2 hours. Those 12 pound little things feel like 100 after a while and to be honest, they arn't really that important in a B.O.B

  • good thing you have your hand sanitizer. or you would be dead meat.

  • @SmokeAndStrongDrink hand sanitizer is about 60% alcohol which makes it a GREAT tinder...infact, you can cook on a hand sanitizer stove i've seen people do it. Also, would you want to eat with the hands you just gutted a animal with full of blood and unknown substance?

  • Lol got enuf salt

  • eggs

  • youcould fit alot more stuff in the sewing kit

  • Love the music.Who is it? I like your kit but need gun/guns,ammo and a large bowie type knife and a serrated Spyderco .I also carry a mini fridge, small air conditioner,a case of Budweiser and seven Playboys in my BUG bag.<--Joke. Rap sucks.Good kit.LED upgrade way to go.Need spare batteries dont you?And maybe a compass.Pen is great idea too.Medication to.Firestarter also is required.

  • nice pak bro, like u said needs alil work but lookin good so far man

  • ok first you need to get rid of that mess kit you got there are way better army versions out there that are more compact with more uses. also get rid of the can food just pick up MRE's and learn to capture and kill your own food if close to water throw in some fishing line and a few hooks, maybe even a telescoping rod

  • Some people dislike carrying canned goods but in a real survival situation, the weight is worth it. There's just so much you can do with the tin can. Great vid.

  • awesome, and I love CREED

  • why get rid of the mess kit... might be a bit bulky but he is using it for extra storage. not to mention various reasons why the two halfs could come in handy.. but like the kit...

  • cool bug out bag and creed kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!

  • im not sure if you are a gun owner or not. but if you are i suggest loosing the wd40 and get a small 6oz can of breakfree clp. its perfect for keeping handguns in good condition and you can use it to rust proof your survival knives if you really care enough to do so. you cant use the wd40 on firearms.

  • Nutnfancy fan??

  • Good thinking Gman, also add a Strikeforce Firestarter and snack bag of 100% cotton balls saturated with vaseline. I have started campfires at 10 below with this setup. Aslo add a 1qt canteen w/cup

  • Would you keep the bag each one for the house and one for the car ?

  • A new prepaid cell phone just in case you dont want to be found. booby trap wire is good for snares as well, to catch small game. the best way to look at a bob is if you have to leave your house in 5 min and not come back what will you need. weapons and money are a must.

  • you need a lite weight sleeping bag. you could fit it inside your pack and not have that weight hanging off the back

    /

  • Look into a Hennessy Hammock. They look pretty cool

  • damn i saw many goods ideas,i need to be prepare too,i start my bag next week!il start by a list, thanks for u all

  • very good loved it thanks

    :)

  • Hmm, I may have come across strong. But when you think survial all bets are off. Rule #1 with maps, NEVER mark your area, NEVER! If you ever have to clean raw meat of fish you have to clean your WD40 coated knife first, So it's a good idea to have 1 heavy duty multi use knife in Stainless steel, they don't rust. Most knifes are 420 or 440 steel, these are cheap, keep them clean and they won't rust. Replace can food with dry, add water and your golden. What more is there but reason.

  • You make very good points. Thanks for the info/ideas. As you know, it is still in construction, and still has much more stuff that needs to be added.

  • Yes, it is still very much under construction.

  • I would change out the can of tuna they have pouches of tuna ,chicken or even salmon they take up less space.

  • Really bad pick of Music, get real!.

A true bug out bag will carry the items most needed, knife lube, OMG really ?

Mag light, bad pick, best to use a LED flash light, your batteries will last longer plus it's harder to break the light diodes.

A high lite pen, are we going to school? Can foods add weight. Walmart cooking kit, too big! You need to redo and think!

Pack multi use items for your bug out kit..

You get a C+ for trying, back to work..

  • @mik22pik

Knife lube keeps moisture away from carbon steel blades which are very prone to rust, and keeps them from getting stuck in whatever you are chopping. If you're in a survival situation and your blade gets stuck or rusts, what are you going to use?

The mag light has an LED upgrade in it...

A pen can tell where your last position was, or just for writing notes (haven't added the notebook yet).

  • @Gorilman34 carbon steel blades actually arent prone to rust... but its easy to prevent that by keeping it dry. so it's basically just dead weight

  • @mik22pik

Canned foods last for many years, and cans can be re-used after the contents has been emptied.

And the cooking set I agree with you it's too big.

Thanks for the suggestions and concerns, but it would be nice if you would veer away from the elitism and post more politely. Thanks.

  • @mik22pik

Ooh wow... youtube's private teacher! What's today's homework?

  • @mik22pik Why don't you get real fuck stick. This guy did a good job. Maybe he likes mag-lights. I know I do. You get an A+ for being a dipshit!

  • roflmao

  • i agree....

  • hahaha. tainted.

  • Maxpedition is a very good bag. I go with Eagle bags; much less expensive and tough as an M-1 tank. My current one was issued to me by Uncle Sam, is the same size as yours, went through seven years of army life with me in the field, and is now in its ninth year with me as a civilian; not one single stitch needing repair, not one single fray or hole in the fabric. The biggest bang for the dollar I've ever experienced.

  • Definitely ditch the minimag.

I'm sort of conflicted with my flashlight choice. 123a LED's can't be beaten, but coming across AA's and AAA's is far easier than 123a's assuming the event lasts longer than you think.

  • Lose the music. I am interested in how and what you use your gear with & for, not some loud music. Otherwise I am sure this would be a great vid.

  • Hehe, I know what you mean. I wanna make a video with me talking but I just can't find the time.

  • jar of vaseline and candle wick... fire starter and vaseline candles. Put in a flask of tradables....spam...wiskey, rum. Altoids cans with all sorts of shit in them. Silver for barter. Dried soups. Jerky...date and rotate it. for home longterm food...mylar with o2 absorbers...rise and beans. In car...flares...Know how to use all the shit in your BOB. Under your matress, sword and as always...arms = freedom. CHEERS TO ALL THE REAL AMERICANS AND PATRIOTS WHO KEEP BOBs. Ban FED RESV.

  • @MrGreatLakesBuffalo - RIGHT ON BROTHER -

    ROB MENARD HAS USEFUL INFORMATION

  • 2nd post: check flashlights regularly (some go bad..), and don't let spare batteries sit too long. Cycle the food out and replace it so it's fresh. Rig some stuff on the outside of your bag if you can and if it is inconspicuous

  • 1st: nice video. (I'd unpack the stuff first and have the bag in the background, but at least we know how you assigned locations for stuff). The sewing Kit's too big; I reenact, google "soldier's housewife/hussif" for a more useful kit. Also, pack more stuff in your mess kit, there's waste space (more spices or sachets of oatmeal, something...) Ramen is shit food, look up 'portable/pocket soup' recipes.

  • Make sure your foods have plenty of fats in them. Tuna lacks it and i think the ramen does too but i could be wrong. Anyways i like your kit so far :)

  • @xXSPKINGXx some 'authentic' asian brands include an oil packet, they can be found at azn grocery stores. but that stuff's not that good for you, I would only use half of the seasoning packet per bowl..

  • Study lightweight backpacking, but also consider making 3-wheel cart using mountain bike tires. A cart can carry 150 to 200 pounds. Tires can be filled with RTV rubber and be puncture proof. Cart can last 5-10 years on the trails, and wheels can be improvised from wood. Two cart from a bike.

  • now think for a second..........your gunna go out in the woods with a little cart? DUMB IDEA you dont need 200 pounds of survival equipment i can fit mine in a frekin fannie pack

  • @TECHDECK2112, LOL, you know very little about living vs. surviving. I pay attention to how the 3rd World lives, and that tiny fanny pack, is your last resort. My vehicle loaded out is my bugout kit. Where it breaks I'll pack up my cart with essentials, an go from there. If needed I can make all I need, (clothing, footwear, tools, shelter) from the environment I find myself in.

  • no i ment isnt kinda hard to pull a cart in da woods and ill make a vid of mine so u can see it. and i do know alot about surviving in unknown enviorments

  • @TECHDECK2112, if you make the cart on mountain bike wheels, you can do it. How do you get a canoe around rapids? What about a cart you can tow behind a bike, or strap the bike on the cart to get over a mountain? Think outside the box.

  • Trim the cook set to a pot, lid, cup and a tablespoon. Mentally go through a bugout, and adjust your kit. Go car camping, but try stuff in your kit. Critique and improve your process and kit. The kit is a last resort, but it provides tools, materials, and options, from which you can improvise a solution to most problems, neutralize threats, and beat the odds. That's survival.

  • Nice job 5/5. Do you have something to open the cans with? You can get use from the cans after the tuna is gone but for sake of weight it does also come in pouches. Just a suggestion.

  • Learn to spell, faggot...

  • a few things, things like your sewing kit take up a lot of dead space, all that stuff could be put into a much smaller container. also, ditch the tuna fish and salt packs, packaging saps up lots of space, try using larger things like a large jar of oatmeal or rice for longer lasting supplies of food with much less space consumption. don;t even worry about the light, any light is better than none. and remember, two is one and one is none, pack at least 2 of EVERYTHING.

  • hey fuck all you ppl who keep ripping on the guys taste in music and the way he's doing his video. I happen to like the way he's showing what he has in his pack. at least he didnt put a fucking rap thug pants falling off their stupid black ass song in here. Good job on your video and pack bro!!! 5 stars. dont even worry about these little shortbus fucksticks!

  • LOL XD

  • @CGPAryan dude GREAT FUCKIN COMMENT!!! although i disagree with some of the stuff has but whos to say whats right and wrong? and the music who fuck cares right that aint the point of the vid. and rap and all that other nonsense can suck it. btw "shortbus fucksticks" fuckin rad

  • @CGPAryan couldnt agree more but you try to keep a straight face listening to creed

  • seems like a pretty heavy pack.

  • seems like a pretty heavy pack? what are you kidding man? Dont join the service dude, you will fall out if you think thats a heavy pack!

  • nice kit, weak music. ;-)

  • Ruger 10/22!! and as many STEEL LIP magazines you can afford. And ammo! at about 14 dollars for a 550 box you can hunt anything (if you're a good shot) for years on about 100 dollars!

  • ADD CONDOMS

  • Two each his own.

  • If I were you, I would invest in a military pancho and replace the mag lite with a Fenix LED light. I'm not sure if you had a whistle and a signaling mirror but if you don't, they will come in handy as well.

  • How much does your pack weigh

  • I have bought a gun recently but it was after the video so it's not show. Sig 220 .45

  • I have a leatherman surge tool and it's awsome. There are other quality multi tools that might be goo, as well as maybe a roll of outdoor heavy duty duck tape and a pocket fisherman and some lures and line.

  • First rate video- thanks for sharing your thoughts-what is a survival bracelet?

    thank you in advance

    mark

    cadis,pa

  • Very nice...what's the weight?

  • Nice BOB & great taste in music.

So is that bag pretty water resistant by itself?

  • whats a survival bracelet

  • its emergency paracord wrapped in a braclet form

  • Is that Scott Stapp's bug out bag?

  • they make tuna in pouches. keep an eye out for sales. 1 pouch can feed 2 ppl.

  • Nice choice of ramen :) I eat it alot :D

  • so why the mint condoms???

  • Condoms are for carrying water mate!

  • no "mate" there not lol... actually was just jokin about the way he spelt condiments, guess it went over your head.

  • Well they can be used to carry water, but besides that, thanks for catching it I'm changing it now.

  • dude. you never been to mountains or wild aren't you...? make them smaller & will talk.

  • Write a sentence that makes sense, then we'll talk.

  • I say you've never been to the woods or wild... <--- period LMAO!

  • dude. i been woods wild and aren't you? tallk yuo these leike.

  • is that creed?

  • Collect meds for your kit. I was fortunate enough to have morph, and muti types of antibiotics (prefer penicillin, but others along with it are great as well). Anti-biotic gel, peroxide, Ibuprofen(200 mil at store and you can take as much as 3000+ a day.) vitamins, vitamin D(best vaccine there is) A small container of bleach will go a long way for water purification. "Barbie wipes" don't take up much space, and you may find a need. What ever you can think of for your feet. Dental care.

  • did i read condomints?!! hee hee...your gear looks pretty clean and pristine...i think it's time to test it :)

  • kool vid....i just seen them mountin house things ...are they ggoood ...have u tryed one??

  • To start, I'd swap the Minimag for a Fenix L1D or something like that, even a LED Minimag will be better than carrying extra bulbs and has better battery life. In addition the Fenix sells a defuser tip to make the flashlight a lamp and you can buy a headband to turn it into the best headlamp ever!

Also that sewing kit is bulky, trim it down into a smaller carry case.

A high quality poncho is better than any of those emergency ones, get a US army poncho and you'll be glad you used the space.

  • roof- accidentally thumbed you down. Someone thumb him up please.

  • MSR Makes a great set of cookware that all snugs up in the largest locking pot. Its Great stuff for BOB's

Bit expensive but you get what you pay for right?

For my bag I'm getting the hyperflow mircrofilter $100 retail

and the The Quick™ 2 Cookware also at $100 retail

  • What's a survival bracelet ?

  • ...I'm NOT preparing for a hike. I AM preparing for Armageddon. You don't know what a BOB is do you? If this were my hiking pack, the title would have said: My Hiking Pack, but no, it's T

The pack is still in progress. The wire saw is there until I can get a folding one. Med kit is just fine (actually too small), the WD40 is for knife rust (carbon steel rusts easily),the gloves are for chopping wood, rope can always be useful in the wild, and blankets and ponchos can be used to build shelter.

  • You are doing pretty good one handed the video is excellent

  • upgrade from the mag light to an LED light such as a LED lenser,

    1. It's more reliable

    2. wont need extra bulbs

    3. will last far longer and is far brighter

  • haha sorry that was pretty much the first thing you showed in part 2

  • True. I have 3 maglights and I've had to replace the bulbs on all of them, even after just casual use. led headlamp is much better.

  • How much does all that weigh? I had a similar set up and damn....went on a 10 mile backpacking trip and thought I was gonna die. My pack weighed roughly 50 pounds. I consider myself pretty fit...but with large elevation changes and heat....made me reconsider what I am gonna pack.

  • ditch the wire saw and get a ultimate survival technologies sabre saw or a folding saw of some kind you will be glad you did and also maybe a guyot stainless steel waterbottle with a gsi glacier cup it allow you to sterilize 40oz of water at once.

  • definitly would upgrade the compass, and ditch the can of tuna, you should go for the 'packets' of tuna instead....they are lighter and last longer, and you dont need a tool to open it. now on to watch pt.2

  • Ooh, I didn't think of packets. Thnx!

  • survival bracelet - ammo & chord? What is it?

  • ...It's 550 paracord that you wear on your wrist asa bracelet. When needed, you take apart the weave, and you've got paracord.

  • I wouldn't pack aluminum canned food. If you dent the can it can rust on the inside of the can.

  • i rcomend some parachute chord that utilty cord is thin

  • I have about 150ft paracord in part two.

  • sorry yesterday didnt have time for pt2

  • For the maglight you might want to get the $5 led drop in at any walmart for greater battery life

  • Already did. Light is not bright, but batteries will last longer.

  • is this BOB for three people ?

  • It's meant for just me so far, but I'm planning on expanding it, or making a few more bobs for my family members just in case.

  • I've preparing a BOB of my own. Here are a few of my reccomendations for survival gear. Id would ditch the Maglight and replace it with a Surefire LED flashlight, either the G2 or 6P. For the Mess Kit, I'd reccomend a GI surplus one. They are more compact and durable. I don't find the camping food very good, try to find some Military MREs, they are better for your system. Ramen is a good idea. Add some Spam, that stuff works wonders.

  • Good ideas on the flashlight... EXCEPT that now you have to carry more types of batteries.. Keep it simple with all one type of battery if you can

  • Hey nice video. Love the music.

Was wondering how much you like the Maxp. Vul. pack? I have a Maxp. Sabercat for a scout pack and love it as long as I don't load it up too heavy. (gets kind of heavy on the waist without a shoulder strap.) I have a ACU CFP-90 w/ Assualt pack for my BOB. But I'm looking for a lighter system to keep in the truck as a GHB. I'm leaning towards the Vulture b/c it's a bit larger which would help for winter preparations but was wondering how comfy it is loaded.

  • There are a few things that annoy me on it, like all products will. The shoulder straps are pretty stiff when new and sometimes can dig into the shoulders. I'm a little bony, so it might just be me though. On the waist belt, for some reason, the left side of the belt leans inward and can dig into my side. I think it was a just a flaw on my pack because the right side of the belt is perfect. After testing it hiking rigorous trails, it performed great overall.

PM me if you want more info.
