This is what software companies do all the time! They are always trying to hide it though. I can't believe that these guys are trying to pass it off as a good thing!
This is exactly what these idiots promise the customer. They promise the impossible, then all the project managers bail the fuck out when they realize that they can't deliver. I am blown away by how accurate this depiction of this company is.
@sackman11 You bet! I used to work at a company that heavily used Arthur Anderson. They were cookie cutter kids right out of management school, thought they knew everything. Take away the hype you have arrogant know-it-alls out of touch with the real world and who leave it all for the others to work out once they leave.
years at EDS summed up unintentionally: chaotic, stupid, unnecessarily poorly planned, late implementations, reactive over proactive, unsafe. Nice ad:)
Doesn't the image of the "clients" barely hanging on, and enduring hardship and missing or nonfunctional airplane parts actually capture the true experience of deployment and integration of a huge and complex, and ridiculously expensive, and yet buggy and untested software system, though?
That's right pandaphil. I worked at EDS when this ad came out. It really backfired on them (us) They made it look as though the customer had a rough time of it. They s/have had the airplane passengers relaxing comfortably in an enclosed cabin, while the workers were freezing on the half built wings outside. That would have conveyed the message better.
The correct term is "Canada geese," not "Canadian geese."

Speaking of EDS ads, anybody got the car factory one with Suki?
(And yes, it was funny. Not to mention the point it makes is fairly valid too.)
Can't find the damn thing anywhere. :( Yet I remember it well.

"I love this job..." [tough guy chokes up, can't go on... LoL]..
Orange juice in the face... that happens in real life, too.
It would be cool to do HALO jumps off commercial airliners, though.

@dave4248 You're 100% correct -- but I enjoyed the commercial, even so!
