  • You have the basic idea down. During the (strum) transition edge only plays, down up up, down up up. Then begins the main strum, usually: down strum, lift ring finger, down strum put ring finger down, down strum, lift finger, strum up stum down, put finger down (stum up) (emphasis), lift finger, down strum up strum, finger down, down strum up strum down strum up strum. You can also emphasis on other strums as you see fit. It is also important to have emphasis on the e string on intro picking

  • @atenass12 Herdims? E-bay.

  • great lesson thanx

  • what the heck is an arpegio..???? lol

  • @jkyu55 An arpeggio is a chord broken down into individual notes.

  • @jkyu55 playing a chord a string at a time

  • very helpful! thank you!

  • you can hold the 11

  • i have same exact strat. wheres yours made?

  • NICE

  • The trick is not to shorten the notes to make them choppy, you need a guitar with pickups that thicken the sound to your pick hitting the strings.

  • @NIARTcar some people can't afford good pickups...we work with what we have which makes us better

  • @NIARTcar Definitely you're right. His style of shorten the notes is inapropriate. Edge don't play streets that way. Herdim picks would make a big diffirence.

  • @deedrz1990 yea sry i had another which explained the tone settings and the right picks to use. herdims are what he uses but there are dunlops which have the same rough texture on the grip if you can't find herdims in a store

  • nice vid

  • very illustrative thks. (I think i got the song now)
