  • Excellent t-bolt action!!!

  • What is that logo that is on the bottom right corner?

  • @aaronsmithbg Divx. It used to be the best video compressor back then when size of your videos matter. It took a huge couple hundred mb video, shaved off a zero and made it look and sound the same.

  • ah...this siren brought up some old memories when i used to set in the basement during the second gulf war,,,,

    im from kuwait actually....

  • i live in rc and it is used for fire and weather. it just failed during the bad storm sunday. all the rest of the 2001s and the 2202s use atack so they swiched it to atack for fires.

  • Anyone know what these are generally rated in terms of db's?

  • 125dBs at 100 ft.

  • Ahhh, I remember this video from years ago. :)

    I missed it :)

  • Could you get a video of this Thunderbolt 1003 at is new location and i can still remember a video of this but it was only a audio recording video from the old Wisconsin Sirens Website and each signal was a 30 second test could you upload that one if you still have it saved

  • @garyhstorms10

Actually Gary, not only is there that audio recording(which I think I have 2 different tests of in different orders and time lengths) but there is a video of this siren on "Tornado Awareness Day" doing a 3 minute alert, which isn't as exciting or anything, but it was recorded none the less! I'll see if I can't search for those on the drives.

  • This is probably the most popular video of a siren in existence, glad to see the original is in good hands.

  • Awesome video. I love the sound of that Thunderbolt 1003. :)

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but Richland Center's fire chief told me personally the siren does not sound the hi-lo anymore, as it was relocated from this building (used to be an auditorium) to a pole on the north end of town.

It will only activate for storm warnings now, not firecalls.

The description simply hasn't been updated. Great video, anyways.

  • @JustInn014 Oops! :()

  • Thanks for putting it back up. Its sad that this doesn't do fire call anymore but I am glad that it is at least still in use.

  • I have not allowed comments on this video. I just put it back up so it wouldn't fade from existance. I am the original author.
