ye nottingham is nice there are some haard spots but every city has those got a nice center just had a christmas german market! There are some lovely villeges too!
hey Guys I am thinking of studying in one of the universities of nottingham.....what would you say about the city....is it nice? what about nightlife? crime rates? entertainment perspectives?.....whetever else...is welcomed....thanks in advance
@Sediloda night life is very good, top city in the region for night life, ranked amongst the best in the UK in a survey "easy going, 'something for everyone' " It has a few rough areas like most cities, but you would not normally go there.
Good for pubs, clubs, shops, cinema, resturants, casinos, theatre, skating, bowling, huge annual fare.
City centre is usually packed with people at night on the weekends, nice size too, not too big, not too small, just right. Lots of pretty women too - lol!!
l am not from nottingham but l love nottingham and life in nottingham...also l love people in here 90% percent of them are very nice people...but there are not many beautifull girl:)
i left nottingham 20yrs ago but seeing clips like this still bring a lump to my throat even though i would never come back (to live) born in beacon street in the OLD st annes well rd district educated at claremont school (the best) arnold, west bridgeford, beeston, long eaton work the best years at the post office huntingdon street (now gone) ah yes memories thanks for bringing them back, i am really pleased i came on these pages when i get homesick !!!! i know where to come now, save driving.

I agree with you ! nobody asked the council to waste £20 million on a new market square, when the old had character and history. They should have spent money maintaining the old square instead of demolishing it. The council are slowly killing the city centre with their anti car policies.
You're very right. It was a unique to Nottingham and if you see the picture on my profile's background, looked beautiful in the Summer. Now it's a just a wide expanse of bright, white slabs and odd-shaped fountains.
At one point, you could drive and park up in Slab Square - I've got a picture of taxis and people's cars all lined up next to the fountains.
I remember driving around the square, you could park next to the council house if you were lucky enough to find a slot. Those fountains were great on a windy day ! often ruined by someone with some fairy liquid ! I bet those taxis were painted black and white in your picture.
notts has the best eye candy ever u walk though the centre in the middle of summer and wooo its mental torture
