yeah... you guys would have lost by 10 had the refs not handed you the last five min. of the game. its funny how everyone from every school saw the complete ref bias at the end of that game. it's truly sad how you can be proud that your team won not on their own merit, but by poor officiating.
theres a difference between early on fouls and end fouls morans. contact like that in a situation that determines the game needs to be called those types shouldn't be missed even if contct is mutual
sorry fag. late cheap shots like that when there is no time to make up for the call that SHOULD have came need to be called. I cant believe you're even shit talking when your pathetic school needed an uncalled blatant foul with 9 seconds left to win. Lol
i thought ucla was a sick team but i dont think they have a chance anymore after that game. theyre not on the same level as louisville, unc, memphis and kansas. even if they had to play davidson id put cash money on davidson to win.
Every Referee should be fired that called that game. My 14 yr old sister who plays 8th grade basketball was screaming foul when Sloan was literally pushed over. You would think if someone falls on their back more than ball was hit. I hope karma comes around and bites UcLA in the ass.
but we didnt get the whistle the entire game... the so called "offensive foul" on the loose ball, ucla players losing the ball out of bounds and keeping posession over and over, kevin love's "clean blocks" it was a big mess that screwed us over in the end
thats not how it works its easy to say we won. u never know wut can happen in OT kansas is proof of what can change because they were down and came to win. UCLA is going nowhere
the players purposely commited it... hmmmm. both sides got bad calls. anyways why are you blaming ucla? its not like ucla paid the refs to cheat. you should blame texas. its your fault you guys lost your 10 point lead dumbasses. you cant blame ucla for playing great defense and catching up.
You know it was a foul, the players purposely committed it because they know they'd get a way with it. The refs didn't have the balls to make the call in front of all the UCLA fans.
You are being fucking ignorant if you don't think them not calling that obvious foul on Sloan didn't decide the outcome of the game. He got raped by 2 UCLA players when he went into the lane, it was a joke.
I see a lot of people wish to see UCLA out early, lol scared much? Complaining about "bad" calls is sophomoric. Everyone knows there are bad calls in every game, going both ways. As long as the refereeing is fair to both teams (ie bad calls go both ways) it never decides the outcome of the game. Quit your whining and wait 'til your team loses to UCLA! GO BRUINS!
Its a shame the ref's seemingly through the game at the end, and yes maybe this did cost them the game but in the end A&M could have won it if their defense would have tightened up in the last 6 or so minutes... It also shows UCLA isn't that great and will probably get their asses handed to them by North Carolina, or Texas, or Memphis or somebody, but this isn't the first game the ref's have favored UCLA... remember the Standford game..
Nice moving screen there by Love....as well as the coach calling for it just seconds before..as well as two guys hacking Sloan to the floor at the end with some excellent pics by the LA TIMES...AGS got hosed...UCLA is a good team, but damn man, if the shoe was on the other foot, you guys would probably be just as steamed and with more media behind you about it right now.nonetheless, I think we held our own against you. If I were UCLA, I wouldn't be the guy screaming oh!, I'd be thiking "lucky"!
what makes me mad is that this wasn't the only bad call they made. The only way ucla won is because they would get 2 or 3 "blocks" on almost every one of TAMU's shots or layups and then get the rebound. This call was just the bad call to top it off.
Truely a great hack on the drive by Texas A&M although impossible to see unless you slow it down. I beg to differ on the this being the worst officiated game ever... although I sympathize because of the freshness of this wound... THE WORTS officiated game EVER was the Duke vs Arizona finals in 2001 in which the refs handed the game to Duke... in a systematic way calling fouls one way in favor of the inferior Duke squad to deny Bibby and the rest of the cats the trophy...
this was the worst officiated game i have ever seen in the NCAA tourney. The AGGIES were hacked and fouled all night long. Dont get me wrong, UCLA is a great team with Love and Collinson both had great games. but the fact of the mater is that the Aggies were fouled without a doubt o that last play. if he would have got the foul shots who knows what would have happened. a loss, overtime, or even a win.
Collison fouled the A&M big man before he discarded Collison. Collison was holding him. Anybody without bruin glasses on could see why they called the foul on Collison, it was a holding foul.

video = 20 foot moving pick to clear the lane, followed by a two gangbager mugging = UCLA victory.
The last sevenminutes to even out the score were about as bad as ive ever seen in basketball.
The refs should be out of a job, UCLA should carry a patch in their unifirms ever since the Stanford game identfying them as "questionable participants"

Best audience-made video of a blatant moving screen ever made! The NCAA should archive this footage for use in training new officials in how to spot this foul. Sure is easy to drive the lane when you've got a personal protector shielding you from any and all defense. Aren't you UCLA folks supposed to be bastions of basketball knowledge?

A&M committed more than its share of uncalled fouls in the game. Cry about it, bitches. You lost.

You have got to be kidding.
Sloan was not fouled that hard.
Even if he was he's a 67% shooter with the most pressure he's ever had in his life.
In the NCAA tournament you do not get those calls at the end of games.
If you can't win it without the whistle, you don't win.
Simple as that.
GodModeGaming 3 years ago

We got terrible calls too if you didn't notice.
GodModeGaming 3 years ago 3
well how do u make it without a whistle if u get mugged look at pictures 2 guys on him grabbing his arm back making it impossible to get off a shot
billybobjoe2345678 3 years ago
There's only one guy creating any contact to effect his shot.
And even if the foul gets called, what happens?
Sloan goes to the line.
He's about a 67% Free Throw shooter.
Add in tremendous pressure.
There's a slim, slim chance he'll hit both.
And even then, you go into OT and probably lose.
Guess what?
We won, you lost, get over it, come back again next year and prove that you deserved the win.

We made a Final Four.
We played a good season.
For not having a back-up guard, I believe they will come back with a good year next year.
They didn't play up to their potential, and didn't make the final game because of it.
But it was still a season to remember.
