This is one of the better videos of the ride that I've seen, excellent job in filming under such difficult circumstances. I know how rough this ride is. Been on it a billion times. I have not ridden The Cyclone in over 20 years and miss it. Thanks for sharing this. Brings back many memories.

the coney island cyclone is the best i went there today and i rode the cyclone twice that ride is sick and fun i swair to god who ever did not go to coney island u will love it there when u first enter u will c the cyclone,And the first hill u go down it feels like the roller coaster went off track and that first hill of the cyclone that is the highest hill on that roller coaster I Love Coney island and i love the cyclone u should go it is awesome
the cyclone at six flags astroworld in texas, (now the park is demolished), was based on this coaster. everything is the same track design but going the opposite way
CYCLONE opened in 1927. Glad you enjoyed it.
Search for Coney Island Tornado 1928 and Coney Island Thunderbolt 1926.
Since 1900 there have been dozens onf big rollercoasters at Coney Island. Read up on it -- it's a lot of fun!

I'd heard about this rollercoater in the UK (where I am) when I was a young lad.
When I visited a very good friend, Cindy Sears (who I met in Florida) at Long Island in 1978 she showed the way and took me and two of my pals on it.
Thanks for the vid - brought back some very good memories - root beer (don't get that here) and Frankfurters - brilliant.
Hope you read this Cindy - it's about time you wrote!

cyclone rules. I rode it 7 times yesterday!! I rode it many times more before that too. One of my favs.
As for great adventure.. My favourite there would be nitro and eltoro
