I'm just using my critical analysis skills. Something that modern Western science seems to have lost along the way. One only needs to look to communist China, ironically, to see freedom to question Darwin. Look up Jy Chen and his work with Cambrian fossils.
Modern science (it's international, not western) uses analysis all the time. Look pubmedcentral and read papers on evolution (for example) - a paper would never survive peer review if it were not carefully constructed and logical. A chordate in the cambrian? Ok - but not my field so I can't evaluate it.
Peer review? Let me give an analogy. If there was a debate between X & Y and all of the judges on the panel believed the same way as X, then that wouldn't be a debate would it? And why do they all believe the same way as X? Because they have been indoctrinated in the same fashion and not allowed to question without being degraded. And yes, Western science because Dr. Chen is able to question Darwin which is protected in the USA by a lobby group that goes around with law suits.
I must not have made my point very well. The point is that scientists see what they want to see and that they commission artists to make fantastical extensions beyond what we could possibly know just from the fossils. I've seen exhibits with Lucy and a man walking arm in arm! Give me a break! This is obviously slanted in such a way to personalize and humanize these fossils beyond what we can comprehend to garner support from society at large.
Oh yea! That's it! When I do an experiment I always can get the results I want and if I publish it everybody else will get all the same results even though that's only what I want them to get. Wrong. Fail. Try to invent a perpetual motion machine and you will fail. google: 'schon bell labs' for someone who tried that and is probably mopping floors now.
You fail to understand my point. You are extending my comments beyond the parameters that I included. You give an example of qualitative numerical data that was "faked." I don't dispute that. I was talking about science taking observational data and stretching it beyond what the data tells us to make imaginative inferences. Your statements give even greater credence to my point because you took my statement and overgeneralized it to fit your argument. You really are quite a negative person.
Have you read Neil Shubin's book, Your Inner Fish?
Just because a transitional form is still around does not disprove the theory. It's like saying that now that the USA is here, England should be gone!
I have a far more abstract question. If apes and man are related, and evolutionary inferior animals die out through selective breeding, why aren't there any living examples of creatures between ape and man? Don't say Bigfoot either! LOL More succinctly, if apes can make it, yet were genetically inferior, why are there no living segue-type animals to study? It doesn't make sense. BTW I got this idea from a George Carlin stand-up bit...
Hen's Teeth and Horses Toes - by Gould.
Nice example of teeth in a bird.
Birds are now recognized to be dinos.
You have to do a lot more study before you will convince
anyone.
