The words 'mutlak' and 'mümkün' are loan words we use in Turkish but they mean 'absolute' and 'possible,' respectively. So that would make the sentence, what? Nothing is absolute, everything is possible? That sounds more like a stance on fatalism/freewill issue than an epistemological expression as the translation in the game would lead us to believe.
Eventhough the new assassins creed is more enjoyable than this one (because there are more missions and skills) I still think Altair is waaaay more awesome than Ezio.
you must read this. once you have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you well you better start to copying.
Hmmm this sounds really weird, could anyone tell me if his Arabic is good? I can't speak Arabic but it sounds really different from anything I've ever heard (in egyptian music for example)
@jassfreak87 Nothing is true Everything is permitted Bahlas there is a true all Memknla thing and the reality of absolute, but everything Memknla thing is true of all Msmohalis there is true, everything is permitted Bahlas there is true, everything Memknla thing and the reality of absolute, but all possible
25 years? Though maybe 26, since his birthday is 11th of January, 1165, and this is set in 1191. To be really picky, it could be that missions which take the gamer hours to get through, would "really" take weeks or even months to do, so, maybe even 27?
@narusaku9978 In my thought he probably had the thought that it could bring peace but only in the right hands. Besides, he ended up making his ultimate armor, the one you get in AC2 and the start of AC Brotherhood from materials of the Apple.
I find it quite interesting that Altair starts his journey by assassinating an old man, and also ends it by assassinating another old man. It comes to full circle.
@MiddleEasternGuy Yes I know perfectly well. And I will repeat what I said earlier. That is The Assassin's Creed... Do you understand?
The Assassin's Creed= "Nothing is absolute but everything is possible".
And to all you other guys, YES! I know that it sounds different than the original English version of the Creed, and that is because it's translated from Arabic....
muslims were the first assassin's. its actually based on true facts. haha i was pretty freaked out. lol it was awesome when i found. but yeah they were out to kill the bad muslims and others who were conspirators that tried to ruin the culture and ruin the lives of the people.
ya but that muslim assassin culture died off in 1200 because of another empire i think, everntualy that assassin culture became filled with hatred and greed and lots of back stabbings
Not exactly. Altair is definately Arab and historically, the assassins were, but I think the whole point of the game was that organized religion enslaves people so I do not think he would be considered a Muslim in the sense of following Islam. I read somewhere that he does believe in God, just not the worship of Him (but I have yet to finish ACII so I'm not sure if the answer lies in that game or not).
Yes, which is technically an Islamic term, but it's like when you say, "Bless you" after someone sneezes. A sneeze was seen as expelling the devil from the body, but people who aren't necessarily Christian or theists say it because it's common, not because they believe the person just got rid of the devil.
That's NOT what I'm saying. My entire family is Muslim, so I know.
I was trying to say that just because someone speaks Arabic doesn't mean they're Muslim and vise versa. And even if you DON'T believe in God, it doesn't mean you can't use a phrase that originally had religious context.
God, I love the ending, but imo, Altair and Al Mualim are one of the only people that had good voices. If it wasn't for the terrible acting of the citizens and enemies, I would love this game even more. Sorry, but to me it's as laughable as the CD-i games.
"He's going to hurt himself! And when he does, I won't help him!"
The assassins were Shia Muslims in real history but according to the codex pages in Assassin's Creed 2 Altair loses whatever faith he might have had through studying the Piece of Eden which pretty much proves all religions to be wrong. I also heard something about his father being Muslim and his mother being Christian but I don't think that's in the games. He marries a Christian called Maria though and they have kids together.
This game is off the hook! loved every part of it, only the last part when al mualim used magic powers that wasn't realistic. And i also think that the arabic language wasn't really that good. But good work ubisoft, you rock! Can't wait till AC 3 is out.

The answer is; nothing. That's it. Game's over. You can do the whole "Eagle Vision" thing in Desmond's room to get the credits rolling. You can also replay any memory block if you want, but there's no point to it.
However, Desmond (the dude who is recalling these events) doesn't KNOW arabic.
So the animus (the machine that taps into Desmond's memory) kinda translates. But as the game progresses, Desmond's memories and Altair''s experiences begin to fuse, so he begins to understand a bit of arabic. As a result, you'll hear people speak it more and more towards the end.
... forgive me mentor but the apple corrupted you. Through you, it would have corrupted us. For us to live, you had to die.

This entire thing is set in...er...
This place, right, where they all speak arabic.
