@TheOldEchoes In the end the "used" copy was about the price of a normal, new CD (so not bad) but arrived sealed! So good bargain, there. But even better was that I LOVE the album. Just a gorgeous, gorgeous score. Many thanks again! :D
Thanks very much for posting this! I was on the fence about buying a used copy, but this totally convinced me to snatch it up. Excited to hear the whole album now! :D
I will never forget this movie. The aunts fighting over little PS. That sure was a handsome little boy that played PS, His name was Nicholas but I can't remember his last name. I felt so sorry for the child. PS in the movie. One of the saddest scenes in the movie was when the sisters were fighting over PS and he just got sick in the bushes it upset him so badly. And when that mean little girl from his class hit him with the board. But I loved the scene when he found out what his name was.
@Sheri451 God, I love this movie, too and will never forget it. It was so well done. Everything: the story, the costumes, the sets, the actors. And that kid was too beautiful for words. And so real. I really liked the poor "good" aunt. I thought that actress would've made a better Queen than Helen Mirren a few years ago. My favorite scene: all the kids at P.S.'s birthday party dancing around clutching pillows, saying, "Hold me, Logan. Hold me!"
@nauort23 I remember that scene well. I just wish theis lovely movie was on You Tube. Or any of our movie channels. That little boy was just so cute. I read the book a while back, It's a very good book.
you are so right about this score.I first saw this movie on tv in 1988 and was blown away by the music and film then.I found the LP some time later but as times change and i lost my record player i stopped listening to it.Thanks for bringing it back-its music that really does lift the soul.

One of my favorite scores, one of my favorite movies, based on one of my favorite books. All three deserve much more recognition than they get.
Thanks so much. Hearing this brings all the loveliness of the movie back.
