@CallingCrowe if you saw them this year then it was Fabio Lione on vocals not Roy Khan. Roy Khan is one of my favorite singers (I even get to audition for Kamelot as new vocalist) but Fabio Lione does better in Kamelot than Khan. He impersonates Roy Khan's studio tone better than Roy Khan himself so maybe that's why you confused them. Part of it has to do with Fabio being an opera vocalist and when you can sing opera you can sing anything.

And no, when you sing opera, you CAN'T just sing anything. There are certain things you CAN'T do, because you'd affect your voice.
