WHS is bloated and slow (and expensive). The only viable CUSTOM home server OS is Ubuntu Server Edition (32 or 64-bit)... Which is free.

All file storage can be done with samba, torrents can be done using torrentflux, you can host game servers, web sites, your own mail server, stream music to your 360 or PS3 with mediatomb or MiniDLNA. Plus it run's on just about anything so it can be as low-power as you need it.

Can run on as little as a 1.3Ghz Atom (Single Core) and 256MB RAM

using the eeetop is retarded. Adding enclosed usb drives is the only way to get additional drives, and finding an enclosure that supports spindown is almost impossible. so the drive is running all the time. too many wires, too hot, too much power consumption, too much money wasted. Build a NAS, or buy a NAS. Don't use a net-top as a NAS.

a simple file server just use a pc you dont want old or new toss some big HDD's in it, make some shared folders and put you stuff on it and make back up folders to back up you pc. just need xp pro, non-home vista, linux(harder to set up)

a full fledge server your ISP will not like that.

More frames is more MB/s so bigger size movie.

But utoob converts it into lower mb so you get low quality.

Less frames is less MB/s smaller movie size.

And utoob likes that MB/s and converts it abit.

Smooth=Worse Quality.

Laggy=Perfect Quality(for Utoob)
