  • @ brandymashups

The heat was intense in there..and yes like a lotta raves back then it was lethal in terms of health and safey looking back...but omg what a night...all i remember is everyone looked like zombies in the corridor outside the main room. But Acen killed it that nite without a doubt :-)

  • browno.... you deliver again as always!!! cheers mate! top drawer

  • I have been looking everywhere for this song!!!!! I was so young I couldn't remember the artist or track title so I've been looking everywhere for the word Overdose, hoping to stumble on it. What HUGE memories this brings back!!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Bongo Furi February 1992 - Swallows Leisue Centre, Sittingbourne, Kent, Acen and the rest of the production house stable acts PA'd there that night...mental night that will never be forgotten, this tune made it...anyone else there that night?

  • @tonycoupe

I was there tone, was fkin hot in there after waiting in queue freezing for 2 hours, i nearly passed out in there, There was one tiny doorway into the main big room, fire hazard central!!!! i do remember the Acen samples sticking in my head, especially when the flip was on with "here comes the sun", Production House were the nuts!

  • life changer.. fuck therapy, this will do :D

  • There was almost like a turning point when this came out, it was dark for its time!

  • 4:20 is were its at yes yesssssssss

  • @uprising95 Yes, I concur.

  • i owned this on vinyl i paid about £10 for it in a rochdale record shop when i wer about 16 my mum threw it away after i left home grrrr :(

  • @johnnyl30 gutted, im after a copy now and their going for 50 quid!

  • @badga08

still got mine and ain't selling, sorry son!!!

  • I don't think he actually sued Acen- he threatened, and I think that was enough! Brilliant tune though. Got to love the man like Acen.

  • george harrison did that !!? what a wank* r !!

  • oh gosh hardcore in the 90s were so much better than todays tripe lol. this is a big track even though it caused some sh*t due to the late George harrison going apesh*t due to the sample he used and then ended up sueing acen but still a great track!!! :D

  • This is the version that I like best :)

  • dont drive home to this !!lol you,l end up in a tree !!

  • @hansoncole2000- lol i totally agree!!!!!!!!! comin up to acen's life and crimes of a ruff neck (b-side of trip 2 the moon pt.2)- there's nothing quite like it!!

  • RUSH YOUR FKIN BOLOX OFF!!!!

  • Beatles eat my flesh!!! AAaaaa..

  • Top top top top Chooon!!!

  • Where did I hear this first....was it techno trip 3? yeah back when Chris Sheppard ruled the N. American scene....Back when techno meant something

  • I have 13 years old, my father listen this song´s, he said , this song is very best of hardcore 90´s ..........

  • First record I bought and still play it :-D

  • it just doesnt get any better than this!! bring back these tunes!

  • Another all time favourite - takes me back best part of 20 years to a rave scene still in its infancy and at its best and purest, never to be repeated..

4:17 onwards is fucking insane and excellent. I love the insanity.. LL CoolJ sample with Mr Kirk tacked on the end is cheeky.

Shout out to the old Tooto's crowd, Frating Essex, the best times...

  • this is the best remix of this. i used to have this, does anyone remember a radio station that played techno for a while? In Orange County? I forget what it was called now, oh ya, RENEGADE RADIO... anyone?

  • This version is the best. Dj-ed an outdoor show near chicago where one of the jocks had just picked up this record. Heard it 15 times over the weekend and bought it when I got home. (ok, ordered it from my local shop) The Beatles thing is insanely brilliant. Too bad they got in trouble for it and had to yank it. Played this at an oldskool night last year and the crowd went insane.

  • I had a copy and I lent it to someone... Didn't I Ceri ;)

  • First time I heard this was on Quest 100FM with DJ Nexus on the wheels of steel. Loved it.

  • for anybody who cares , this song is now on itunes

  • @DumSpireSpero--

LA has it's own terminology during the era. fuckwit, muppet, okay you're not from LA. Neither am I for that matter.

Derrick May was aghast when he heard his beloved Detroit house dubbed 'techno' in the UK. And that straight-edge Detroiter was upset when he saw the UK parties his music was played out...

  • best remix ever of this tune !!!!!

  • First there was TECHNICOLOR by Channel One. Then there was JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES. My two techno speaker thumpers

  • Oh anotha phat 1 nice!

  • And if this helps any i's by the House crew... You muppet!

  • Oh and in case you get lost! it's on the Production house label! enjoy! Dickhead!

  • omfg i've been looking for this tune for so long now i forgot when i started i remember trippin my tits off to this back in the day needs a bangin system tho

  • love this!!! anyone have BKS - Welcome?

  • during it's day this music was labeled techno/breakbeat in L.A. Whatever genre you chose to place it in, it all came from the States. You're welcome. :) PLUR

  • @ErnieLegends fuckwit try a search for 'we are hardcore' same genre. but it's not caqlled we are break beat!

  • Thank you :) This is the tune I have been looking for!!! 'here comes the sun'

OVERDOSE!! I recall hearing it one night whilst having saucer eyes and thinking OMG! lol

You know the score, sorted :)

  • hey bro my opinion is coming from my side of things. I live in L.A so depending were you from you will have diff prospect. In my time this music was known as techno and still is. I have follow this kind of music for many years. So you might be right not saying you are wrong just voicing my opinion on what we called it.

  • champion!!

been looking for this beatles sample mix for ages

  • does anyone remember stu allens mix of this with cheech and chong in it been after it for years

  • This tune never dates. I was there back in the day when this dropped, and it has never aged. It's a mighty classic and I love the samples.

  • proper head fuck choonage.. wickkked...

  • Oh god. This is amazing.. :D

  • this choon OH this choon..... =) all hail acen =)

  • ACEN & BEATLES 4-ever!

Absolute classic ... gear choon, mate!

    :-)

  • love that here comes the sun bit, I had this rare version years ago

  • ultimate ardcore! :D

  • good with KOYAANISQUATSI movie 1982

  • This song changed my life for good.....this and James Brown is Dead

  • happy hardcore those were the days

  • @mikedo4 this ain't hardcore and especially happy hardcore.. its old techno.. This is some tru grimey 90's music.. respect to the Uploader....

  • Back in the day we used to go to Hardcore Raves to listen to this, I still have old tape packs from back in the day with this on.

  • Its not techno either. Acen is pretty much a dnb / breakbeat producer, and I'd call this the latter. most definitely not techno.

  • @YOUBUYCDSCOM No, it's hardcore, or breakbeat hardcore.

  • @djsmurfie smurf in my times this was techno.. not hardcore if it is any other genre it would be industrial.. like i said this is in my times L.A wharehouse days...

  • @YOUBUYCDSCOM No offence but you're a yank so what would you know? This music is English and back when this was made (1990-1993 when the scene was alive) it was called 'hardcore' - you yankies might have called it 'techno', but who cares? This is English music and we called it hardcore.

  • @djsmurfie yankies? lmfao! what's that mean? that we're American? And you're English? So.....yeah. That makes you our bitches :) Yankees>bitches have a nice day bitch lol

  • @igodm2 No, it makes you a yank - no relation to England or Englishman.

  • @YOUBUYCDSCOM its hardcore you tool and no its not happy hardcore that genre didnt exist then but did grow from hardcore along with drum n bass and jungle. techno is based around four to the floor kicks not breakbeats. do your research before making nonsensical coments.

  • NOTHIN LIKE ACEN WHEN YOUR RUSHING...i REMEMBER IT WELL:-))
