  • That's Todd all the way, that stanky guitar playing is the nuts.

  • jaw dropping intro D:

  • Great Song. I remeber sitting in CC,s room listen to this and loving it!!!!!!! Great production. wierd sounds on bass but it worked. Tod Rudgren produced and I think he wrote this song. Great song.

  • @fenderho Yes, Todd indeed wrote this song.. .very Utopian sound in the harmony ..been a Todd fan for 40 years..I can tell of his style and T Chords.....loving it♥

  • @gudatine That lead tone is Utopian, so is Meat Loaf...Todd also produced a friend of mine "New England" it was their third and last CD on Elektra in 1981, they are best known for "Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya" 1979

  • I adore the whole album and first one i played today to kickstart a great 2011 hopefully!

  • One of my favorite todd songs ever, sounds like it could've been written for utopia's POV album. Fantastic vocals by Robin Zander

  • Love this! Great song from Todd. Post Y.O.Y.O.Y.!!!

  • @eviljungleprince Yes i agree...please post Y.O.Y.O.Y

  • They should've released it as a single. It's brilliant. A hitsingle!

One of their greatest songs ever and Todd's, ofcourse.

Just re-record this and release it as a single, and also make a videoclip for it, this has got to be a top ten hit. It's a classic.

  • One of my favorite CT songs. Love Rundgren and I can hear his style in this song.

  • This album produced by Todd Rundgren ; This song is my favorite song of their body of work. Thanks so much for the post. I've been trying to find it for years...*

  • this song was written and produced by todd rundgren . when i meet you todd in vegas i didnt know this, and when we joked about ric ocasic . i still laugh today

  • Look for a bizarre hard to find lp called WASP by....Shaun Cassidy...Todd Rundgren produced it, Utopia his old band plays on it....actually quite good....Todd brings out the best in many artists....as he does w/ this song.

  • great to hear this again, now please post younger girls and 3-D

  • A great Todd song, Robin nails it!

  • Well said!

  • Excellent power-pop song- this should have been a #1 hit record !

  • I could not agree more! What a fantastic song! It got no air play, can't understand why....

  • This is one of there best songs.

I think there best albums are One on One and In Color

  • YES!! i f#$%ing love this song too. They dont have it on NApster...guess they are pissed at todd rundgren?? Why not put the song up? it not on Three NPP albums listed on napster. I fricken love this song. I dont care who wrote it..cheap trick made it there own. would be the same if Todd sangit..though i do love utopia "hammer in my heart" i digress..CHEAP TRICK RULES..seen them dozens of times from the 80's til irvine with journey and heart.

  • cheap trick is the sound of the eighties

  • Great song from a great band. I have seen them eight times since 1980. This album was underrated, as was 1982's "One on One." Please don't kick me, but I also really like "The Doctor" release.

  • i listened to the doctor recently, i thought there were a lot of catchy songs on it.

  • Always been one of my top favorite Cheap Trick songs. No surprise it was written by Rundgren, I've always liked his stuff too. Saw CT last year in concert, they were incredible!!

  • Best Song from that Band I ever heard :) My Favorit !!!

  • in my opinion, NPP is an album full of gems. still fun to listen to after all these years.

  • The BEST Cheap Trick song ever created, but leave it to Epic to FUCK IT UP!!!

  • i don't understand the comment. do you mean it should of been released as a single? you forgot to mention that the one and only todd rundgren wrote it!

  • Yes, Todd Rundgren wrote this. He also produced it. When he was selected to produce NPP, he wrote this specifically for Cheap Trick. He has a long history with Cheap Trick. Most notably he knew Rick from the early days playing in the NAZZ...

    Great Power Pop tune.

  • i can't take it was also an amazing song on this lp, why that wasn't as big a hit as i want you to want me i'll never know....and written by robin zander! thanks for the comment my friend.
