In the first two i know i could def do them faster but i struggle with contra 3. if i knew how to stream from my tv to my computer i would do it on live stream. i also don't have a controller to run the emulator. I was impressed with contra 3 though, you could still use some improvement.

humm not really, it took be about 2 hours because I retried contra a few times, but once I got a sufficiently good enough contra run I just went through the other 2 which I know better.

I use my ps3 controler that came with my ps3 because it didn't have dual shock.

figured it was better to put it to use instead of ignoring it. so I use it for my emulations :D

plus it plugs in to my computer without any hardware hacking. you need "Mr.T's PS3 Controller Connector" to use it on your computer... I found a link to it on youtube when I was curious about it working on my PC, because it attaches through USB ... (maybe you should try it out)

Thanks, it's probably the difference in our weapons of choice. I chose the weapons that deal most damage instead of Spread guns and Homing guns exactly for that purpose. You gotta know where to shoot during the levels though when going with Crush missiles and Laser or you'll be quickly surrounded.

Why your spread gun in contra 1 only shoot two bullets? seems like mine is a hacked version.

there are two reasons:

1 - there can be only 10 of your own spread gun bullets on the screen at all times. So, if you shoot too fast, it'll only throw 1 or 2 bullets per shot.

2 - the bullet flickers every other screen frame, (the game runs at 60 fps), but youtube only goes on 30 fps, so some bullets are always lit and others are always dark.

How can you finish Contra 3 with Laser and Cluster? I prefer Homing and Flame... Laser is only good for the overhead levels.

Laser + Cluster have much higher damage per second. Homing and flame are only good when you don't know exactly where to shoot, as they kill a lot of weak enemies quickly. But I wanted to kill the bosses quickly (I don't care about the enemies, they don't delay me)

That is very rare when someone is playing on a well set system for recording a gameplay. You're talking about bad contacts... There are NES systems that are very sturdy and won't "tilt" that easily.

You almost "Game Over'd" near the very end. You would have had to play Contra 1, 2, and 3 all over again! If you're feeling up to it, you should get ahold of Contra 4 somehow and play all 4 of them back to back.

There are codes that you can do at the tittle screen (like u,u,d,d,l,r,l,r,B,A start) and others that will let you play all the tracks of the game then all you have to do is record them. hope that helps
