Since Duodecim confirmed that Gilgamesh's many appearances have all been the same person, Gilgamesh is officially the character with the most appearances. Come on Square Enix; make Final Fantasy: The Epic of Gilgamesh. The premise could be Gilgamesh's many journeys through the different worlds fighting many of Final Fantasy villlians and finally a climatic boss fight with Bartz at the end with Clash on The Big Bridge playing. That would be awesome.

@MeingroessterFan Well, it depends on how quickly you kill Necrophobe. If you kill him quickly enough, Gilgamesh does not sacrifice himself and is stuck in the Void. I'm guessing this ending is the canon one since Dissidia states that every Gilgamesh is the same person. As for how he was able to escape the inescapable Void in all these games, my guess is just the sheer amount of tenacity he has on finding his eternal rival Bartz once again.

@BlazingAzureTheta Whats said in Duodecim isnt canon with FFV. Gilgamesh said to Bartz in Duodecim that they saw each other the last time when Gilgamesh was send to the Void. But in the Void is an unaVOIDable fight with Gilgamesh. So it doesnt work at all. But I think he could have been swalloed by the void when he sacrifices himself and escaped it just like Bartz&co. in the ending in FFV. There are as many possibilities as there are points on Gilgys pants. Other question: How survived Enkidu?

I always assumed he didn't die completely when he used Self-Destruct on himself and was just lost forever in the Void. I also assumed the Necrophobe fight isn't canon seeing as it is completely optional, even though you get a save point if you win. I put Necrophobe's fight up there with Omega and Shinryu as they are optional as well. But that's just me.

Rumor has it that there will be a DS remake of FF V... is that true? Because if it is, it better not look like III or IV, in game wise. I mean, the CGI is fine, but looking at the character sprites and everything on how it is somewhat un-proportional, I just don't know why, I mean the DS has better capabilities graphically that it is very possible to make it look like IX (maybe not that good, but close). Just look at Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days. If it looked like that then it would be amazing.

I played FF6 as FF3 for the SNES and I have never run across gilgamesh in that game. The game in this video looks like a remake, not like the original. Did they just add gilgamesh or has he always been available?
