Hello from Athens. We had our rally today for our Nativity. Your pictures inspired us and we had a great turnout of around 5,000. Thanks for sticking up for God! There is a 28 sec. video on here of our rally. I think it is under "Nativity Rally Crowd". Merry Christmas to all!!!
To the gentleman speaking at around the 2 minute mark (or anyone else who feels the same way), no one is telling you that you can't believe in God... that's silly to even think that
We are simply stating that you need to play by the same rules that every other religion plays by and that nonbelievers play by. You are free to have whatever religious views you want, you are simply not free to get preferential treatment that isn't afforded others.
The crosses were made by an anonymous man, as a labor of love. Only you cynics would think of them as weapons. Really. The cross is a symbol of our religion. There was no malice intended, even if atheists showed up. If you followed closely, we always said we were only there to make noise if it got belligerent.
Mob mentality? You WOULD think that, unless you were there. It was nothing but love, baby. Just love. Bet you wouldn't think it was a mob mentality if it were a rally for something YOU believed in. Trees and nature perhaps? If 1000 people dance naked in the moonlight to celebrate Summer Solstice, will it be a mob?
Aren't you too a cute little dynamic duo? Where do YOU get YOUR sense of PRIVELEGE? Who asked for your opinions or judgements?
Sincerely, "A Fat Ellwood City Biker Woman" (And no, Cobalt, I am certainly not fat, nor a lawbreaker. I WAS the only lady rider, and I definitely rallied my fellow motorcycle enthusiasts to attend.)
Thanks for your lovely judgement, but the only judgement I'll ever worry about is the judgement I receive when I meet my GOD.
@kelbrad1113 I never called anyone in the crowd fat or made fun of their appearance, so I'm not sure whose post you are replying to. Ride on in peace, lady.
Meanwhile, it's interesting that there's the stereotype where "motorcycle enthusiasts" usually place high values on individual liberties rather than giving all authority/responsibility to the GOVERNMENT over you. But in this case you seem to want the GOVERNMENT to be involved in officiating over your personal religious beliefs. How odd.
@EDFILMS120 Well, then, if they had all those wooden crosses to be ready for some expected atheist protest, were those crosses meant to be used as weapons of violence or to intimidate the visitors as such?
What if your town had an Islamic protest where they all showed up with wooden swords (scimitars) what would you think then? Would it look like a mob to you?
My son Timmy asked me the other day, "Dad, how did religion begin?" I told him that religion began when the first con man met the first ignorant fool.
Atheist extremists are dumbasses, Im french and Im so shock from what I read. 'Put a black baby instead of Jesus to promote equality' X-D omg...

One thing I've noticed here is that these people are not under-nourished.

Christians: Where do you get your sense of PRIVILEGE?
Why do you think that the GOVERNMENT should get involved in giving official ENDORSEMENT or acknowledgement of YOUR religion?
Is is just mob-mentality ("Yeah, there's lots of us, so we should get to push our views on the minorities!")?
