i have the same rig a few suggestions are take the foam out of the tires and drill the body mounts lower on it so you have less rub and cut the fenders witch i see you have done already its a good rc!
i also find it funny that only axials website in to comparison charts the dont list the rtc, i think its because it can compete with the kit? any thoughts....
is there any way to turn your video through youtube editing I didn't notice but was just double checking I filmed one of my videos sideways and now thats just how it is ? whichs sucks cause you need to turn your monitor on its side to really enjoy the video lol
@newbcrwlr76 download video pad editor its really a good editor and even better its free plus it doesnt show a stupid logo in the middle of the screen like some others
looks like you mixed 2 videos or something because some parts of the video have battery packs on the axles and sometimes it doesn't ? and you said basically stock out of the box what have you done to it? Nice video and truck as well, I'm trying to get my friend to buy one. Keep on crawlin
I did have 2 different battery packs in the video. I ran a 2 cell 1100mah MaxAmps lipo for part of the video. I also ran a 2/3A cell pack for part of the video too. I did this just to show that there are different battery options that work with this crawler. For more info on this rig check out Axial's blog.
Would be nice if the esc had a drag brake built in to get slower and controlled decents. (can't afford a dig yet) but other then that it's a very good out of the box crawler. nice vid
Great vid...made me go out and buy one! I recently retired and am trying out rc for the frist time. Rock crawling seems a good place to start...nice and SLOW ;)
Yeah I was looking at the RTC when Chris from BYT posted it up. I am into brushless and nitro rc's, land, water, and air but wanted to try rock crawling for a change.
i was thinking of getting into crawling and i was thinking of getting this. what do u think of it? im guessing u like it by ur blog on the sight and this vid.
Check out the new blog on Axial Racing's website, I have a "Budget Build" post there explaining the mods made to this rig. I just used the stock battery straps on the axle to hold the batteries in place.
can you put a honcho body on that with trimming?

How would you compare this to the Losi Night Crawler which runs about $269 street price?

Bender works for Axial. I dont think they'll have a problem with it.
Bender whats your take on the plastic links? They drag smooth on the rocks over aluminum?

If you import the video into windows movie maker, you can turn the video 90*. Then just save it like that to your computer.

Nice Bender. How does it compare to the Kit, ARTR and RTR?
phoenixfire47 2 years ago
The RTC is the most capable Axial crawler out of the box for sure. The ARTR and RTR are good kits too. But, to get started the RTC is the way to go.

It's the perfect crawler to get started with in my opinion.
BenderCustoms 2 years ago
Wow, this RTC does very good! Is this stock?
ZeroToleranceMfg 2 years ago
It is basically stock. All I really did was add breather holes to the wheels and add a little weight to them as well.
BenderCustoms 2 years ago
Looks damn good right outta the box!
Amazing venue too, is that a crawler course built specially or just local terrain?
Desawa82 2 years ago
It's just the local terrain we crawl on here in SoCal.

how did you rig the bateries to the front axle. was it a custom plate or the battery/servo tray.
