How to Install and configure Cairo Dock

it says im missing plugins and stuff and opens looking like crap so uninstalled it, any help would be awesome, i just installed linux mint and got my system set up

do you know if there is an option to enable a behavior similar to mac osx where when you click on a running program and hold it down, the right-click menu pops up? thanks

I don't have icon effects under the appearance menu..Am I missing something?

This action should have a jump from the icons menu. What OS are you using? I know that kde is different that gnome in some aspects of the dock.
