what brand of pick-ups ? are all of them single coil? what do you use for a string dampener ?

@PikachusCorpse I think those are dimarzios, but the bridge and neck are humbuckers and the middle pickup is singlecoil. And using a string dampener anywhere but the studio is kinda cheating, but if you were to use one, it really does matter, you could put a hair band over the nut, drape a small towel over the neck above where you're playing, stick a paper towel under the strings, ect. it all has the same effect.

@tart9 i noticed they're the same as Jason Beckers pick-ups. i asked those questions 'cause well Ryan Knight is my second favorite guitarist & it would of been badass he answered :P & the single coil question was because i want multi color pick-ups but colors that differ from those. i want to make two single coils into a humbucker if that makes sense.. i use a rubber band as a dampner for my eight finger tapping stuff v.v

@PikachusCorpse Yeah. I wasn't sure whether I should answer or not but since Ryan doesn't seem like the kind of guy who checks youtube very often I decided to lol. I'm no pickup expert but I'm like 99% sure that there's more to making a humbucker than just putting two singlecoils together. You can just get different pickup covers that are multi-colored for the regular ones. And sorry, but like I said, using a dampener is only ok in the studio, it doesn't work in live situations.
