How come there's no connections between 9/11 and Afghanistan? I also don't support the war as all this bullshit about "keeping the world safer" doesn't really match the US, the biggest weapon supplier in the world but I'm really curious on your opinion, stefbot: Isn't 9/11 supposed to have been authored by Al-Qaeda, a group that was based in Afghanistan and operating with the Taliban? Is there really no evidence linking the country to the terrorist attack?
@NickNorie15 15 of the 19 hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia(our allies), 1 was from Egypt(ally), 2 from United Arab Emirates(yup ally), and 1 from Lebanon. Al Quaeda is more the name given to the trend of Middle Eastern terrorism, and has no real "base"(notice the various nationalities).Taliban is in Afghanistan, but the only evidence of any link was Bin Laden saying he approved, but did not organize it. He was in Pakistan anyway. Basically, we decided to fight back against all brown peopl
From what I read, although Bin Laden and other were originally from Saudi Arabia, Bin Laden was actually disowned by his own family and had his Saudi citizenship had been "suspended" and he was never welcome to return. The Taliban's Afghanistan was indeed the base for Al-Qaeda starting in the 90's. So yeah, I can still see the connection there.
The thing is, the United States "won" the war in Afghanistan ages ago, according to Dr Marc Sageman, one of the world's leading counter-terrorism experts. The terrorist training camps that existed in Afghanistan were all destroyed and all terror plots now come from Pakistan, according to him.
But yeah, the thing in the end is that when you analyze the circumstances surrounding the wars the U.S has been involved with (by which I mean both its current position in the world and its recent foreign policy history), it's clear the government is telling us bullshit of some kind and that ultimately the reasons why they really invade countries like Afghanistan don't come down to "we're making the world a safer place".
@NickNorie15 Well then we both agree that regardless of all the different stories, is the current military situation excessive(to put it lightly) and you're right about the fact that they were not IN Saudi Arabia, my issue is that there are a growing number of Afghan civilian casualties due to the absence of scarce enemies you alluded to, and it's all a result of two forces they have no stake in(basically ur point). My mistake for unclarity i guess. Still, I'd say we're of the same mind here.
what is interesting about wikileaks Iraq War Logs release is the sections that are missing. Namely the period of the assault on Fallujha where we used phosphorous weapons

@zammy1992 yeh well i know how powerful they are but they can't stop individuals from reporting news... can they? they are journalists... some of them gives their life for truth behind the scene.. and the wikileak guy? he was in prison and now is not allowed to use computer :/
well they cant but if it comes on tv they can and they sed he was in prison who says it was true i mean they could just make a story up about that also becoue also all rappers get in prisson like that ya he raped someone he did that and this... But what if i had much power lets say if i was the goverment i had a plan to make evryone my slave and control evryone the first thing i would do is control evrything the export the food the media..
@zammy1992 and then i would make up a website and make it famous trough the media i control.. evryone is intrested how the goverment realy works so many will try to find out so.. if they make a website make evryone believe its real and dont do post on it from 9-11 and stuff evryone will go to that site and... what happens then? noone will know my real secret.. cuz evryone gone the wrong path already
@zammy1992 you do have a correct point but he was a hacker ;)
im glad u don't believe in Media nor do i..
but hey what if his story was true???
afcourse the governments controles everything.. there was even a guy who got suspended from working on tv and as a journalist for questioning the government in afghanistan so yeh ur right
The Ameri-Cons have taken over, Satan has his prize and Obama is that prize and now we see the black neighborhoods falling apart at record numbers, Drugs flooding into black neighborhoods and many asking why did I vote for this pig now but they made their own bed when they thought they could get rid of white man on earth, we are here to stay and Our neighborhoods are doing well, even out trailer parks are doing better than black taken over cities, come join the Ameri-Cons, we destroy some more
Hiya, I was gently shoved in your direction by the love police, in the hope that maybe you could help me with a project I have just started. I have created an online radio station which is currently playing 24/7 music with the odd interview or democracy now hourly segment. I was wondering if you could, along with your video blogs on real news, could you perhaps sort an audio format out as well so i may broadcast and promote your stuff on my station? contact me my channel and will get back asap
@petepamf Stef is NOT a self appointed you tube pundit... lol... he is listened to by millions on his website... exactly how is he causing "more harm than good"??? I guess u r not a big fan of free speech... yet u felt free to post your comment without bothering to check who this man is... its people like u who cause harm... people with opinions who don't back them up with arguments... coz it didn't even occur to them to click on the man's channel... how silly :(
Fair video. You are 100% correct that society puts the troops in danger and does not care, so wikileaks is nothing to do with it. I have made that point many times. You do not, however, mention the Truth-based motivations for war in this video. War is a psychological cleansing operation, as I prove on My website.
War is against both societies citizens, but it is not primarily about money, but about sending children to die and murder on your behalfs.
One more thing. The reasons for having a grudge against the American government are endless. One can believe that white people should kiss your black pecker. Or that Mexicans should run the Southwest just because they were born Mexican. Or one could be an officer of the military passed over for a promotion in favor of a rival. One could resent paying the maintenance costs of society (police, courts, roads, sewers, etc.) due to hatred of humanity. The possible reasons are endless.
@HiddenAuthor It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that Most lawmakers and politicians lie and steal for a living and make 10x the wages of people doing honest work. Or the fact that people seem to be able to figure out disputes better when our CIA isn't involved. The red flags on what "our" government is doing wrong are endless. Your objective reality must be different than that of the majority of people on this planet.
@NewPeaceOrder Yes the absence of the CIA solves conflicts. Instead of the somewhat evil allies of the US continuing to fight back, the ultra-fascist, ultra-communist or ultra-fundamentalist enemies of the US and its allies then go on to win, crushing the opposition beneath their boots. The antiwar people will go on and on about the US ravaging South Vietnam but these "humanitarians" are strangely silent about the victorious communists taking revenge on millions of South Vietnamese citizens!
@HiddenAuthor This is correct of leftist types. For them, protest against war is not what they are about. They are really protesting what they perceive as success of america, because deep down the resent america because they feel like losers.
Worth noting that the Liberation Act was past thru the house without demur. .... and over 85% of the american public thought it was a good idea at the time. If going to war was wrong, then the populace should first blame themselves, they went for it.
Further, America was already committed to war in Iraq before GWB was even nominated for the Republican ticket...re William J Clintons ushering with haste, the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998, with his wife beseeching the world media to understand the necessity of dealing with Sadaam. This all plastered on tv and print world-wide...yet no one remembers. Going into Iraq wasn't the mistake, its how it was done that was stupid.
Without denying the hoodwinking of the general public by governments, and the many and varied uses of propaganda, did Sadaam use WMD? (chemical and biological) Well yes he did, 180,000 Kurds would testify to this...if they could. This does not include the many tens of thousands of Kurdish boys rounded up and taken away never to be heard of again. ...(add genocide). Did France already give him the reactor re nukes?...yup. Did UK company ship him the means to launch these?...yup, they did.
OK Stefbot, riddle me this? Suppose that George Bush was your friend. Suppose that upon learning of al-Qaeda's role in the attacks and demanding that the Taliban hand over bin Laden, he asked you: What do I do when they refuse? Do I announce to the American people that your government will take no further action against such attacks?
@NewPeaceOrder Yes, it's an inside job. Because Bin Laden and his Arabs in Afghanistan are all innocent. When they run around with machine guns and bombs, it's all a parade, it's all pretend. If that is the version of reality that keeps you happy, so be it--just don't expect me or the world in general to go along with it!
@HiddenAuthor Think about this, US military contractors, arms dealers, and oilers are making billions of dollars from this war. Bin Ladin and his "Arabs in Afganistan" are being slaughtered and their lands and families are being destroyed. Who has more to gain in this conflict?
@NewPeaceOrder Yeah that's right--no one even gets involved in a losing conflict. In reality, of course, the Taliban have stated that "We love death (i.e. martyrdom) as much as you (i.e. the West) love life."
@NewPeaceOrder When did I lump Bin Laden into the boat as the country of Afghanistan? I mentioned "Arabs in Afghanistan" so that you would pay attention to the fact that Bin Laden's men are foreigners in Afghanistan as much as the Americans are. Maybe if you thought about that, you would realize that Bin Laden and his men are no better than the Americans and so cause conflict!
@HiddenAuthor The Afgan people are suffering more from the American presence in Afganistan than from "Islamic extremists". The entire country is being punished for something that America did to itself. Bin Ladin has never been a real target. Just an excuse to occupy Afganistan. Going back to your original statement, what do you think should be done to mitigate the conflict?
@NewPeaceOrder Yes totalitarian (that is, the authorities run everything in everyone's life) tyranny by the Taliban is as bad as bombing villages that help murder innocents by hiding terrorist murderers. This help with murder in your mind does not make them any less innocent than their victims! Osama was disowned by his family and there is no smoking gun that the government did 9-11 only rumors half-truths and the theories built around such "evidence".
@HiddenAuthor Look up "The Story of Your Enslavement". You seem to be a bit delusional. You statement about no one getting involed in a losing conflict is true for real attempts at peace, but those who strive for chaos fight endlessly. Even though there is no victory in chaos. Extremists on both sides are fighting a losing battle.
@NewPeaceOrder Do you work hard to filter out from your mind information that conflicts with your preconceptions? Because it's working! I was being SARCASTIC when I said no one gets involved with a losing conflict, an assumption you made when absolving (look the word up in a dictionary!) Bin Laden of responsibility by saying that his side was being blown to bits!
@HiddenAuthor Ironic. I was thinking the same thing about you. You filtered out the part where Bin Ladin and his whole family are buisiness partners with big wigs in our government, and that Osama himself was trained and armed by our CIA. And again, I'm not absolving anyone. It's you who refuses to accept that the US government had a major hand in 9-11, despite enourmous amounts of evidence.
@NewPeaceOrder Nothing debunkers say to 9-11 "Truthers"--like pointing out how Bin Laden has confessed to being fully responsible for 9-11--convinces them. But this is because 9-11 "Truthers" do react based on objective reality. Rather they are motivated by a grudge against the American government. For some, this may be because the American government defeated the Confederacy and the Third Reich, then imposed desegragation and affirmative action.
@HiddenAuthor When I said "because 9-11 "Truthers" do react based on objective reality" I meant "because 9-11 "Truthers" do NOT react based on objective reality". My bad!
@HiddenAuthor Conspiracy theorists are motivated by fear. They cannot face the Truth on what happened. I detail the exact reasons why on My website Forbidden Truth Media on the Martin Bryant page appendix I.
@HiddenAuthor You should not trust Me, but not because of any comments on psychopathy. You should read the material, and and then find the obvious logical faults in My opponent's claims, and the ring of Truth, facts, and argument that My Truths possess.
@SeerTravisTruman You live in Australia. I live in America. In my country, the native cultures were eliminated and the native people were taught the white man's ways. But I hear that in Australia's Outback, some of the Aborigines maintain their traditional culture. Now your website denounces civilization as transforming people into inferior lifeforms. If you really believe that, then why don't don a loincloth and join the Aborigines in the Outback?
@SeerTravisTruman So if everyone in the world sobbingly admitted that they were wrong and that you were right, how would you have them build a perfect society? What would this perfect society look like? How would it be different from all other cultures and societies? Or is your real complaint that people have to conform to any culture or any society's expectations? In which case, would don't you move to the wilderness where you would not be burdened by the existence of other people?
@NewPeaceOrder For others, their grudge is because they resent the power America has in the world and believe that that power should be wielded by socialism or by Islam. But whatever the grudge motivating the particular 9-11 "Truther", the grudge is the basis of his assertion of government complicity not whatever data he or she chooses to present (and who knows whether that data is even true). So I don't know whether there would be any point in debating a 9-11 "Truther" such as yourself!
Thanks for this. I couldn't have stated it any better myself. And folks should remember that it is the "central banks" that INSTIGATED the taxes, making it LAW that WE (the 'herd') pay for THEIR wars of profit.
this has been said before, but IF the gunverment was so interested in civilizing other countries than why have they ( i will not use we anymore) gone into africa for example and destroy their evil military leaders?
now you can say that africa is not a direct threat to the usa, but then again is afghanistan a threat either?
Yeah that's right, lo and behold Afghanistan has the largest deposit of lithium in the world and tons of other precious metals....as if they did not know this before the invasion...
The graveyard of empires....it's true it's called that, many armies have entered these deserts only to find defeat, and there we are trying to do what countless have already died trying to do.
1) wasn't the war in Afghanistan justified since their were hiding a known fugitive (Osama bin Laden)?
2) isn't the military concerned about the leak because it adds additional risk to an already risky job? Again, I'm not defending this, I'm just arguing their position. It's not that they are concerned about their soldiers so much, but that this info adds increased danger above that which the elite have already placed on them.
Leaking documents that will lead to a sooner, rather than latter, withdrawal from the "theater" of operations is certainly putting out soldiers in harms way, and threatening their health, welfare, safety, and and well being.
And no,
Putting them in harms way does not threaten pose a serious/grave threat to their lives, health, welfare, and well being, in the first place, not to mention the direct exposure to depleted uranium, burning toxic waste, about the whole stress PTSD thing, too.
No evidence they were connected with 9/11? Ok, how about Al-Qaeda and bin Laden? They were being sheltered by the Taliban afterall. That's plenty of evidence right there.
@Nebbyker Ok what do you think would happen if we invaded Saudi Arabia? I mean considering the politico-religious dynamic in all of this?
Let me give you a suggestion. We can't invade Saudi Arabia for obvious reasons, but we need to defund them. But how? We need their oil. We can't afford to do it or we will not be able to fuel our cars. The idea is to ween ourselves off of Saudi oil by finding another spigot.
@TheFlex21 Not so much as we would like. They are after all stabbing us in the back funding Wahhabi schools. Our relations with the Saudi's are just right so as to keep our basic interests intact.
Now what I was talking about is what do you think would happen if they "Great Satan" America invaded the land of Mecca and Medina? It would be global jihad of unprecedented proportions. Doing this would be akin to treating a bee hive like a pinata. We'd have terror attacks everywhere.
@TheFlex21 Believe me I do. I get most of my information by extensive research (from all sorts of viewpoints) on the internet. Besides I head up a facebook group with over 2000 people to explicitly make propaganda. I'm familiar with most of the conscious and subconscious propaganda tricks that get used. So don't worry about me I'm immune to most of it. I could probably actually run Fox news! lol
It's not in most peoople's interest to go to war or send their kids to war, ever. So the governments/people in power must and do lie to make us. They will try to instill and build up fear and hate, because that is what can make people fight and become blind to reason. They're trying to make us believe that there was a magical man and his gang in Afghanistan, one of the poorest countries on earth, that amazingly has been able to elude the worlds most powerful and richest army for year....please.
The Afghanistan war will end badly. Revelation 16:16- And he gathered them together into a place called in the He'-brew tongue Ar-ma-ged'-don.++++ Yes, it's time.
@gary7999 If they stop supporting Israel we would most diffinitvely have more terrorist attacks because Pakistan needs your tax dollars for poppies and wjhatnot.
The American government has the death of one million people on it hands, another one million through sanctions before the war, orphaned over four million, tourtured thousands, dislocated million, over three thousand American troops dead and more injured. We are about to repeat this through Iran. All of this based on a lie and we've all lost our rights, magna carta etc. Let not forget this or forget the American government was at one time in support of the taliban and Saddam.
I call it the war on tourism. Stay where you are and keep doing as you're told. Your papers please.
Manufactured lies and manufactured lives. There is no difference. Pitiful lives manufactured on our behalf. Menial jobs are bestowed upon the tame. They are then permittted to shop and fulfil their own manufactured needs. Get a haircut, a car, a house, a phone, a tell lie vision. Just keep consuming but don't forget the U-Haul trailer for the hearse so you can take happiness with you when you die
@stefbot hey stef I was wondering if you, or you know of anyone who has done a bit on what the economic / social / legal/rights ramifications of the larger american wars in the 20th century have been. For example WWI introduced income tax, or the current 'war' introduced the removal of many rights through the patriot act. I think summing all that up in 1 vid would do a lot of good. So if you know of none- nor haven't done something like it: I'm requesting it :)
the war on terror is nothing more than propaganda so rich people can use the u.s. army and tax payers money to steal other country's resources. its all about money and always is, rich people get richer, poor people eat shit and die!!
Are you saying something like, it wasn't terrorist who bombed us? or are you saying, it was terrorists, but the country of Afghanistan had nothing to do with them? I am confused.
@PaperSoapy It was terrorists (of our own government's foreign policy's manufacture) that attacked. It was a small group of individuals. It was 'not' a nation. But militaries are not at all suited to engaging individuals, so we attacked countries. We are as a giant, stung by a bee, now in a blind rage, stomping on ants.
The war in Afghanistan was started during the chock and panic after the 9/11 attacks and I suppose that's one of the reasons why people just accepted it without thinking it through.
Govts are out in the open nowadays, they have such a dumbed down public supporting them that Govts can get away with "EVERTHING". Society does not give a shit! SO the madness continues!
"You want cheap oil & resources, then shut the fuck up" that is the message that is being distributed here and become Mainstream normality! Kid will grow up knowing and defending all the lies for the sake of anything dictated to them! ...
@TheEfkk We should note that the Taliban was toppled within months by the Northern Alliance with the help of a small amount of special forces high tech assistance. More than that was unnecessary. Also note that Osama has never been brought to justice. So if the motive for all this is 9/11, it is a dismal failure. If we really want to address the source of the problem, we have to look at how our own foreign policy influences Saudi support of Madrasa (and the motives of terrorists).
any thoughts as to why the main stream media has picked up on this story in such a big way, as normally they seem to be the government line mouth piece.
The West has been fucking with the Middle East since Israel's arbitrary declaration of existence in the late 40's. Inciting regime change, destroying economies, opening the country to predation from Big Oil, Energy, and Chemical companies, starting arms races by selling tons of weapons to various countries especially Israel, kidnapping and torturing dissidents, witch hunts for terrorists, destabilizing governments, drone assassinations, etc.
@MrEpicTruth Actually we've been 'fucking' with the middle east for a lot longer than that. Many of the countries of the middle east were literally defined by the victors of WW1 after the destruction of what was left of the Ottoman empire. And we can go back for millenia with more examples. We seem to forget. Unfortunately, 'they' do not.
@Panpiper True, Kuwait had been created after WW1, which Hussein wanted to reunite with Iraq... it was almost the exact same situation as WW2. Germany's empire was parceled after WW1, Poland was created and part of Germany was also given to Poland (Danzig corridor), which Hitler then tried to take back. Empire is ok only for England apparently. Anyone else who tries it is called evil by their history books.
The American Government as presented is a lie---and the blank faced, mindlessly waving figureheads they trick the American voter into thinking they have chosen are nothing more than hucksters and scapegoats, as the case may be
Government employees LIE and act in COLLUSION with eachother, in an elitist manner. That pretty much discredits the whole idea that "checks and balances" control government. Fuck the state, the state is slavery at best and flat out murder at worst.
Sorry, I know I always say the same thing, but what else can I say? Stefan hits the bullseye every time. His infant daughter has no idea how lucky she is. I'll bet she is going to be an awesome adult.
LIES - the government is always lying! "Oh, we are doing this for your safety." These forms of employment (federal, government) employment have to be kept at an absolute minimum if for no other reason than it attracts the worst kind of humanity -- the kind of person that "loves the lies."
@yostevoak1 Yeah, I read that too (have you also read "Taliban and the Crisis of Afghanistan"?). I thought it was a really odd way to react to an offer to surrender Bin Laden, whom's capture was allegedly of great importance to the US govt. It made me think once again that they must have had other motives than defeating Al Qaeda. The whole situation makes me angry as fuck.
@DaveDoggOwns Isn't it curious though, that Al Queda and Taliban are found wherever it interferes with the U.S' higher objectives? When are they scheduled to go into Indonesia?
The war would make sense if they only went after Al Queda training compunds but this full scale war is bull. Personally I think the reason to invade Iraq and Afghanistan was to surround Iran. Essentially to prepare for WW3.
@TurboInsomniac Possibly, but isn't it curious about the discocervy of the Trillion plus dollar precious metal deposit they "recently discovered" in Afghanistan?? But, lol, you're right....they'll probably get around to that too.
@fergus247 How about; To distract us from the consequences of a fiat currency collapse so as to justify martial law and the imposition of whatever policies they desire, to deal with that fiat money system collapse.
@TurboInsomniac It does look too coincidental. Iran sits there, surrounded by American troops now... which means war with Iran has been planned since the beginning and the media campaign is almost full throttled. Portray Ahmadinejad as Hitler: check. Make false allegations about WMD: check. News stories of atrocities against sympathetic rape victims/girls: check. They just need video of Ahmad. saying "screw you, hipsters" and "old people suck!" to get 100% support of an Iran war.
I'm starting to get sick of hearing people say they know what the problem is when everyone is just repeating what everyone else is saying.
I listen to your video and it's just the same thing we've all heard a million times. I'm sure you mean well but if you don't have the solution just STFU because this same old song and dance is a waste of all of our time.
1- One shouldn't care about one's troops because they're in a dangerous job? I think stef's getting tired...(not that I like the the concept of state troops, just a purely logical point)
2-the govt. point that we should check thoroughly the evidence against them is still a valid point, regardless of any hypocrisy they may be implying. In fact I would advise it to strengthen our case against the govt.
@natmanprime I disagree with what you said in point 1. He didn't say we shouldn't care. He simply stated that the govt clearly doesn't care, as they are sending them to war. All the govt cares about is the troops doing their job efficiently so that they can profit from it in one way or another.
One more thing. The reasons for having a grudge against the American government are endless. One can believe that white people should kiss your black pecker. Or that Mexicans should run the Southwest just because they were born Mexican. Or one could be an officer of the military passed over for a promotion in favor of a rival. One could resent paying the maintenance costs of society (police, courts, roads, sewers, etc.) due to hatred of humanity. The possible reasons are endless.
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that Most lawmakers and politicians lie and steal for a living and make 10x the wages of people doing honest work. Or the fact that people seem to be able to figure out disputes better when our CIA isn't involved. The red flags on what "our" government is doing wrong are endless. Your objective reality must be different than that of the majority of people on this planet.
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Yes the absence of the CIA solves conflicts. Instead of the somewhat evil allies of the US continuing to fight back, the ultra-fascist, ultra-communist or ultra-fundamentalist enemies of the US and its allies then go on to win, crushing the opposition beneath their boots. The antiwar people will go on and on about the US ravaging South Vietnam but these "humanitarians" are strangely silent about the victorious communists taking revenge on millions of South Vietnamese citizens!

Worth noting that the Liberation Act was past thru the house without demur. .... and over 85% of the american public thought it was a good idea at the time. If going to war was wrong, then the populace should first blame themselves, they went for it.
gallus1 1 year ago
Further, America was already committed to war in Iraq before GWB was even nominated for the Republican ticket...re William J Clintons ushering with haste, the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998, with his wife beseeching the world media to understand the necessity of dealing with Sadaam. This all plastered on tv and print world-wide...yet no one remembers. Going into Iraq wasn't the mistake, its how it was done that was stupid.
gallus1 1 year ago
Without denying the hoodwinking of the general public by governments, and the many and varied uses of propaganda, did Sadaam use WMD? (chemical and biological) Well yes he did, 180,000 Kurds would testify to this...if they could. This does not include the many tens of thousands of Kurdish boys rounded up and taken away never to be heard of again. ...(add genocide). Did France already give him the reactor re nukes?...yup. Did UK company ship him the means to launch these?...yup, they did.

@HiddenAuthor Inside job.
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Yes, it's an inside job. Because Bin Laden and his Arabs in Afghanistan are all innocent. When they run around with machine guns and bombs, it's all a parade, it's all pretend. If that is the version of reality that keeps you happy, so be it--just don't expect me or the world in general to go along with it!
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor Think about this, US military contractors, arms dealers, and oilers are making billions of dollars from this war. Bin Ladin and his "Arabs in Afganistan" are being slaughtered and their lands and families are being destroyed. Who has more to gain in this conflict?
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Yeah that's right--no one even gets involved in a losing conflict. In reality, of course, the Taliban have stated that "We love death (i.e. martyrdom) as much as you (i.e. the West) love life."
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor I also love how you put Arabs in Afganistan (sic!) in quotes. Apparently you won't even admit that there are real Arabs in Afghanistan!
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor The quotation marks are there to denote the fact that you've lumped the entire country into the same boat as Bin Ladin. Inside job.
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder When did I lump Bin Laden into the boat as the country of Afghanistan? I mentioned "Arabs in Afghanistan" so that you would pay attention to the fact that Bin Laden's men are foreigners in Afghanistan as much as the Americans are. Maybe if you thought about that, you would realize that Bin Laden and his men are no better than the Americans and so cause conflict!
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor The Afgan people are suffering more from the American presence in Afganistan than from "Islamic extremists". The entire country is being punished for something that America did to itself. Bin Ladin has never been a real target. Just an excuse to occupy Afganistan. Going back to your original statement, what do you think should be done to mitigate the conflict?
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Yes totalitarian (that is, the authorities run everything in everyone's life) tyranny by the Taliban is as bad as bombing villages that help murder innocents by hiding terrorist murderers. This help with murder in your mind does not make them any less innocent than their victims! Osama was disowned by his family and there is no smoking gun that the government did 9-11 only rumors half-truths and the theories built around such "evidence".
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor Look up "The Story of Your Enslavement". You seem to be a bit delusional. You statement about no one getting involed in a losing conflict is true for real attempts at peace, but those who strive for chaos fight endlessly. Even though there is no victory in chaos. Extremists on both sides are fighting a losing battle.
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Do you work hard to filter out from your mind information that conflicts with your preconceptions? Because it's working! I was being SARCASTIC when I said no one gets involved with a losing conflict, an assumption you made when absolving (look the word up in a dictionary!) Bin Laden of responsibility by saying that his side was being blown to bits!
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor Ironic. I was thinking the same thing about you. You filtered out the part where Bin Ladin and his whole family are buisiness partners with big wigs in our government, and that Osama himself was trained and armed by our CIA. And again, I'm not absolving anyone. It's you who refuses to accept that the US government had a major hand in 9-11, despite enourmous amounts of evidence.
NewPeaceOrder 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder Nothing debunkers say to 9-11 "Truthers"--like pointing out how Bin Laden has confessed to being fully responsible for 9-11--convinces them. But this is because 9-11 "Truthers" do react based on objective reality. Rather they are motivated by a grudge against the American government. For some, this may be because the American government defeated the Confederacy and the Third Reich, then imposed desegragation and affirmative action.
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago

SeerTravisTruman 1 year ago
@SeerTravisTruman So if everyone in the world sobbingly admitted that they were wrong and that you were right, how would you have them build a perfect society? What would this perfect society look like? How would it be different from all other cultures and societies? Or is your real complaint that people have to conform to any culture or any society's expectations? In which case, would don't you move to the wilderness where you would not be burdened by the existence of other people?
HiddenAuthor 1 year ago
@HiddenAuthor That could not happen, because of the pathological hatred and fear of simple Truth.
But IF it did, the primary difference would be that it would be based on Truth. Decisions would be sane, honest, valid, and of course Truth-based.
This would lead to a Utopian Society.
SeerTravisTruman 1 year ago
@NewPeaceOrder For others, their grudge is because they resent the power America has in the world and believe that that power should be wielded by socialism or by Islam. But whatever the grudge motivating the particular 9-11 "Truther", the grudge is the basis of his assertion of government complicity not whatever data he or she chooses to present (and who knows whether that data is even true). So I don't know whether there would be any point in debating a 9-11 "Truther" such as yourself!

I agree with everything said, but two questions:
1) wasn't the war in Afghanistan justified since their were hiding a known fugitive (Osama bin Laden)?
2) isn't the military concerned about the leak because it adds additional risk to an already risky job? Again, I'm not defending this, I'm just arguing their position. It's not that they are concerned about their soldiers so much, but that this info adds increased danger above that which the elite have already placed on them.

Yes,
Leaking documents that will lead to a sooner, rather than latter, withdrawal from the "theater" of operations is certainly putting out soldiers in harms way, and threatening their health, welfare, safety, and and well being.

If only people knew their country's dark side.
MrEpicTruth 1 year ago
@MrEpicTruth Actually we've been 'fucking' with the middle east for a lot longer than that. Many of the countries of the middle east were literally defined by the victors of WW1 after the destruction of what was left of the Ottoman empire. And we can go back for millenia with more examples. We seem to forget. Unfortunately, 'they' do not.

@Panpiper True, Kuwait had been created after WW1, which Hussein wanted to reunite with Iraq... it was almost the exact same situation as WW2. Empire is ok only for England apparently. Anyone else who tries it is called evil by their history books.

@Arkimedes999 i think the solution is pack up and leave.

Your insight is incredible. How can we get this to the people when the Fascists already own the media?

Addressing the 3 points stef has made, in order:
1- One shouldn't care about one's troops because they're in a dangerous job? I think stef's getting tired...(not that I like the the concept of state troops, just a purely logical point)
2-the govt. point that we should check thoroughly the evidence against them is still a valid point, regardless of any hypocrisy they may be implying. In fact I would advise it to strengthen our case against the govt.
3-Manufacturing consent (chomsky), it's true.

@natmanprime I disagree with what you said in point 1. He didn't say we shouldn't care. He simply stated that the govt clearly doesn't care, as they are sending them to war. All the govt cares about is the troops doing their job efficiently so that they can profit from it in one way or another.
