Sorry to be picky about this but given that you are focusing on safety with the 14yr old lad using the power bench, I find it very worrying to see him working with no ear defenders, eye protection or dust protection! The first lesson I ever learnt from my dad was the importance of personal protection! You only get one set of eyes, ear and lungs.
