I may have worked it out actually. Did you follow this tutorial from scratch? or did you apply the same principle to a much larger canvas size you were already working on?. The gradient seems to flip if the canvas is too large. In this tutorial , the canvas is actually quite small and this is probably why the "difference clouds" filter works. I was constantly getting the flip and after many attempts, I decided to follow the actual tutorial. I noticed it straight away. Give it a go!

This doesn't work for me, my line is to straight, even after applying the difference cloud render, thus not giving a lightining effect. Also, the line is is green, blue and red and when i change levels doesn't help. And yes i did invert, so at least it taught me how to do that :) any1 help?
