It all depends on where you are from and the person whose got the name gets to decide what they think the correct pronunciation is.

Some cajuns have black in them, they are called Sabine's. Some cajuns have french in them,The Indians called them Connasse, or Coon Ass. Creole people are of black, french and Indian races.They were the first to settle in Louisiana. I have only ever seen Black "Creole" people. Most of whom are VERY dark in color. Creole people on the other hand, in the New Orleans area, it means someone native to New Orleans whether White or Black. In South Louisiana, it is sometimes used as a mixed race person. Creole in New Orleans can be a White person of French/Spanish heritage.
