  • Hi Per Olov, can you tell me what recording devices you use to record/video your playing

  • some parts sound like moonlight sonata

  • Hey, I have just one question why so fast ? although almost perfect :)

  • My God! How you inspire me!

  • beautiful...

  • mm... wait waitt... the original is not so fast!! ..i know it coz i have the sheet ... but anyway.. congrats!!

  • wonderful :)

  • What a composition! And so beautiful played - I like it very much

  • very good...although i have a whole other perspective about the performance i found it interesting and as always:passion!

  • BRAVO!

  • goose pimples!

  • beautiful

  • Great piece , great play ! Many thanks !

  • Hej Peo. Lars Strikkertsen her. Søg på Duo Historico her på You Tube. Håber du har det godt.

  • @larsstrik Hej Lars,

Jante loven længe leve i DK!

  • it gets really good towards the middle

  • Internet is so incredible thing...You shoul know that you have became my guitar teacher :)

  • Hi. Look on your site but cant find the sheet music for your arrangement of this. Any help?

  • Hello there. Thank you for listening to me. I am planning to post this on my web shop but I am sure you can find it ain many places. It is public domain. But if you can wait a couple of weeks, I will have it on my web shop. Please sign up for a newsletter and stay updated.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • well played mate, i love fernando sor!

I just wanted to let you know that you do make a difference in our lives. Thank you for that and Merry Christmas....

  • Very nice piece and a very , very good interpretation. Congratulations! Karlheinz

  • Your stuff is always the beast and I always turn to your works to know how the song is supposed to be played and stylistically how to execute it. Keep putting them out there for us to gobble up!! :)

Mes respects KANSUKE

  • This is amazing work! Great job!

  • it would be great if someone could do a free video on how to use the spanish 8 tone scale(:

  • This is awesome! Youre a great musician!

  • I love it. :)

  • hey i love your works and have been desperately trying to find an instrument as fine as yours. is it possible that you could tell me what kind of guitar you normally play that tone is remarkable! i would be in your debt otherwise thank you for your videos my friend

  • Hello there.

    Thank you!

I play a Per Hallgren guitar

    hallgrenguitars. com

In my opinion the best to get right now. email him, he is a very nice guy.

    Good luck,

    Per-Olov

  • Very nice!

  • Beautiful music expressively played, thank you, Per-Olov. Sor is wonderful, I had all of his pieces on 33pm, but have regretfully not replaced him on CD.

  • absolutely great tone!!

    please tell me the secret!!!

  • I am learning this piece now. I have listened to many versions but your interpretation inspires me most. You are the consummate classical artist Per.

  • i need this to be tabbed or need a lesson on youtube im only just gettin into classical and i love this piece

  • Wow man, being an Iron Maiden and Pink Floyd fan, i can truly say you rock. Anyone who makes guitar play with such tone deserves nothing but the up most respect. You Rock.

  • your'e the best guitarist ever, where can I get your arrangments?

  • watching and listening to you is like having a magic lesson as i am learning this piece...........thanks so much for recording it.

  • I am working on this piece, it is inspiring to hear how it's played thank you.

  • beautiful Peo! i hope you will visit The Netherlands some day, so i can see you live :)

    Wouter

  • last two days I've listend to it more than 7 times. good performance, per olov.

  • BEAUTIFUL PLAYING.

When do you intend to visit Brasil?

    Francisco

  • Don't know what to say. I see from the many reactions on many of your videos that it has all been said. I am so happy I found this channel today !! What beautiful music and how wonderfully and sensitively played. One word : SUPERB.

    Many thanks,

  • Beautiful.

I dont often say that about music.

  • Dear Peo,

Very good playing! But.... according to my taste it is slightly too fast. The Segovia edition gives 'Moderato' as a tempo and if you play it a little bit slower than you do it gives the piece more 'sadness'.

Moreover, the repeat sign at the end of the piece starts from measure 17....

But again, very good playing as usual when I hear you playing the Guitar!!.

    Joe.

  • Increible !!!

  • congratulations!! you are a really good guitar player;) but give in more emotions

  • absolutely amazing!

  • Not often that I play a video more than once but this is absolutely fantastic!

  • Beautiful interpretation! What version is that? I have the Segovia version and the left hand fingering is different. Your one looks like it might be a little easier on some of the changes.

    G

  • beautiful beautiful!

  • BRAVO!

  • your face much like sir alex ferguson

  • is that an alvarez? my alvarez looks exactly like that.. with a ding in the exact same spot. weird.

  • That was played perfectly, I believe. Absolutely beautiful!

  • Peo, you put SO MUCH expression into this study, So often we hear it played in a perfunctory manner, but your playing is a rainbow of tonal colors.

  • i wish i knew how to play like i have that exact guitar he has but i really suck i need lessons like 4real or sum1 2 teach me 4 free ha that wud be great

  • Nice! But i think you are playing it a bit too fast.

  • @wassim95100 Sor marked this piece Allegretto. So he would probably disagree....

  • this is in Mel Bay Classic Guitar Method, Vol. 2. If I can get past these two that I am on, it's next. Peo makes it look easy.

  • Where do I find the score of this music?

  • Lucas-

This B Minor study is in "world's favorite solos for guitar" #43 - (ashley publications, Inc.) - page 31.

Just about every fourth note is a rest stroke, a little tricky on some of the bars, it takes a little left hand conditioning. Good luck.

  • Sorry, but I couldn't understand what you said about the fourth note... Could you explain it to me? (That's my old English, needing improvement...)

  • 20 Studies by Fernando Sor (Segovia Edition)

  • Nice one Peo! This brings back memories. I played this one so much as a kid. Thank you.

  • beautiful peice and perfectly played what year could a student start learning to play this if you do not mind me asking

  • perfect!!!!

  • always magnificent playing from peo! check out Julian Breams version of this piece also...

  • I never got tired of listen and play this study

it's so beatiful, even a bit dramatic in the middle part..

And more, this song reminds me my last time with my gf... I was playing for her :\

  • Bravo!

  • That boys and girls is the way to play this etude. Perfect.

  • classical guitar does not get enough respect. this is beautiful.

  • Peo-

This is the piece I have been working on for the last three weeks. I have a lot of work to do to get it as smooth as you play it - something for me to aspire to.

    Thanks for the wonderful example.

'hope to hear from you after your move.

    John

  • What level would you rate the difficulty of this piece? Obviously, there is a lot of crescendos and diminuendos, but otherwise, how would you rate it?

  • It depends on how coordinated you are, how well you can finger pick, and how well you change speeds. cause if you listen it sounds similar to the waves on a beach, the volume builds up then fades.

  • beautiful! I am amazed. My teacher just assigned this piece to me last week, I hope i could play it well soon. I've been playing classical for a year and i do love it!! Thanks for sharing this video, i am inspired!

  • very well played... what recording equipment are you using? And how do you get that amazing reverb?? cheers

  • my teacher gave me this piece a while back, but im not the most disciplined player, so i forgot how to play it.

really is a beautiful one though.

  • All lefts reserved, HA! Good one. =D

  • You are absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful piece, congratulations! Favorited.

  • Your playing is a true inspiration. You have such great tone! At 46 years old I am just now returning to the classical guitar after years of being plugged into an amp. This is one of the pieces I am relearning. After listening to you play it I can see that I have a long way to go. Thanks for your posts!

  • Hi! I am honored I can inspire you. I hope you are keeping it up! It's worth it!

    Happy playing and good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • This is incredible

    your tone is beautiful

  • Thanks a lot! I am happy you like it!

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • 2:07 devil horns ! yeah !

  • how many guitars do you have?

  • Hi there.

    Thanks for listening.

I only have one guitar in this class. But 7 bad ones :-) And a Gibson Les Paul... But I never play it.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Do you use the same guitar in all your videos?exactly what guitar is that one?Do you recommend it?Thank You

  • Yes, I use this one built by Philippe Jean-Mairet in Switzerland on 90% of my videos. I play on an Alhambra 11p on my first videos and a Carpio Sanchez from those recorded in Miami Beach (Lauro, Sea of Crisis) Please go to me web site

per-olovkindgren(com) and look under gallery for more info.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • thank you.what do you think about cordoba?

  • What a les paul? If anything this man needs a strat for clean sounding stuff like this

  • Now i do know why he was called seven times !

  • Hi! I have been traveling in the USA so I am a bit late replying... sorry.

    :-) Yes!!

    Per-Olov

  • you are so thorough to reply most comments. Thanks ! Don't forget to inform me your new clips.

  • A little fast for my taste. Good tone.

  • i really really love your style and it's quite hard to find a guitarist or a musician who understands and applies good interpretation but may I ask you to tone down the echo in your recording future, you know , it's a bit too loud, if it's not too much to ask. I hold you in really high regards.

  • Per-Olov,

I am learning this study. The first thing I do when learning a piece is to search YouTube to see if you have video on here. Such is the case with Lagrima and Op. 35 No. 22. This helps me so much. I also subscribe to your channel watch your videos over and over. The first half of this study is easy, but I have difficulty with the second half, so I must go and practice now. Thanks!

    Giuliano, From Brasil

  • Hey Giuliano, there is more to bringing out a melody than simply playing it louder than the accompaniment. In this case the player made the melody very lyrical and distinct through a subtle contrast of timbre and gave it coherence and integrity through his extraordinary phrasing. He could have played those arpeggios much louder and still the melody would still have been clear. He clearly knows what he is doing and has decided that this way is, for him, the most musical.

  • Just amazing! Very well played! Congratullations!

I am trying to learn this music on the guitar

  • hmmm.....

    I think....

    I must follow your way.....

    in second position........

i think i really2 have to follow in the fingering that show open string.....

    but...

i think it will be very great if I play like yours Mr Olov....

    ahahaha.... ok.....

  • nice, very nice!

  • Thank you very much.

    Per-Olov

  • Great dynamics !!!

    very ear-touching sound !!!! :D

    @ the moment....

    I'm still learning this piece....

  • Thanks! I hope you like playing this. It's a classic among guitarists.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • The sound dynamics and tempo were masterful...great playing! Really made the piece breathe.

  • Hi! Thank you. Great to know you like my version.

    Per-Olov

  • Good, good, Very very very VERY GOOD!!!!

    Thanks for the music, Peo!

  • Thank you my friend.

I am happy you like my version.

    Thanks for listening,

    Per-Olov

  • Priceless is your gift.

  • Wonderful,as usual ! If I am not mistaken, you modified the structure in the second part when repeating only part of it (I mean after the barré) I think you were right and will follow your example-with less talent,unfortunately...-Thanks

  • best ive herd it so far

  • This is one of my favorite Sor songs. I'm learning it now and I use you as a reference on how to play it right. And, I also bought your CD.

  • Comment removed

  • Prof. Kindgren,

This almost breaks the mold of the term 'hauntingly beautiful'. Is this your arrangement, and can it be purchased on your website.

    Desmond

  • Dear Desmond. Thank you. I am happy you like it.

No, it's original from Sor's hand. I haven't changed anything exept the fingerings...

I plan to put it on my web site later.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • I don't know about Sor's encore story.. but I had to play this 4 times in a row and it is still playing in my head..

    Magnificent !

  • :-) Thanks! Well, it's tru Sor had to play this 7 times! I thank YOU for listening many times.

    I am honored.

    Per-Olov

  • Superb example of clear and well timed playing, as Sor wrote this in 3/4 timing i just imagine someone dancing walz to it spot on as far as I can tell. Hope to progress to playing this myself in next 18 months but no doubt it will take longer to play it as well as you have.

  • Thank YOU. Good luck with your practicing!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Hi! Thanks. How is it going? Can you play it now? And did you get the scholarship?

    Per-Olov

  • Amazingly fluid I would love to learn the piece but I haven't the tabs. Very nice use of rubato also.

  • Great elegance in your style !

  • Ah that's how you do it ... :-)

  • Hermoso estudio de Sor.

    Uno de mis favoritos.

    Saludos!

  • yes, I use to watch you too, keep posting songs Peo. greetings from south america. Peru. Would you like to play ''Vals 4 of Barrios''? its the song I want to learn. thank you

  • Hey greetings from California!, You are a great musician sir, great touch, delicate and melodic especially in your pop arrangements. Keep posting your stuff, it really inspires people like me who just switched from years of rock and blues to a classical approach. Feliz Ano Nuevo !

  • Hi, I've been playing rock music on guitar for about a year now. My classical piano teacher recommended I search this on youtube, and wow. This video inspired me to learn classical guitar.

    5 stars.

  • i'm a fan , sir

  • May I ask what guitar rest you are using? Is it the gitano?

    Sean

  • almost teers. congratulations master

  • One more thing, is the tempo supposed to be this fast? I was trying to follow along with the music sheet and you play it very fast! Very good though! Maybe I'll just play it slow :) Thanks for the great video!

  • My dear friend... No! You don't have to play it this fast! Please do it slower. I even think it could sound, in a way, better a bit slower. Sor never gave an inication so feel free to do what you like.

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • Very good playing, super sound an great feeling of pulse!

What kind of guitar are you playing here?

  • Hi! Thank you.

I am glad you like it.

I play a Philippe Jean-Mairet from Switzerland. I ordered it in 1987. Google him. I think he has a web page now.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Wow that is really great. Would that I could play like that :-) I think I need another 90,000 hours of practice first though :-)

  • Indeed, it's a great story! 7 times!!! Hmm I think it's the 8th time re-watching this clip, would've loved to watch it 7 times live too. Is this hard to play? It sounds easy and hard at the same time. Do you have the music sheet for it?

Watching you and Eduardo play online makes encourages me to play guitar and makes me realize I will never be as good as you guys, but still love to mess around and watch you guys play. :)

  • Hi there. Yes, Lalo is a great player/composer. No, if you can play barree, it's not that difficult. And you have to be able to play with 4 fingers on your right hand.

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • Hmm... I can play Despertar, I Miss You, and Sea of Nectar (still have to finish it). Maybe I'll tackle this piece for next semester of guitar lessons.

  • WOW! What a great repetior you have there! I tihnk this goes along very well with these pieces.

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • absolutly wonderful!

    I loved it!

your guitar playing is so good!
