What is the capture process like for this camera to get the video onto a computer to edit? I have the HG20 and it's a PAIN since all of the video must be converted when capturing.
well, it records to .mts files (AVCHD format), which won't work in some editing programs. However, imovie, and most of the other high-end editing softwares support AVCHD. it's a cinch.
does the footage from this camera import to imovie hd?

are you sure? right to iMovie HD? because i can't get a definite answer whether or not it is HD or 09.

Total pixels res is 3.89 and Effective Sensor res is 2.99.

actually. it only cost me $600. I got it off ebay. I was thinking of buying the HF20! isn't yours the one with a lot of built-in memory?
