I remove the orange paint from mine, but when I leave the house, I treat it like a real firearm, so that it DOESN'T get confiscated.

@SNEEZ666 don't listen to shadowwolf. The only way to remove it on KWA pistols is using a sander. However, on the M9, just paint over it as the real M9 has the barrel stocking out a little bit. On the KWA 1911, you would sand it off because on the real gun, the barrel doesn't stick out like it does in airsoft.

that's because they are based off of the same pistol. kwa's are some of the highest quality airsoft gun (especially gbb) makers out there. the difference is quality, reliability and performance.

The KWA m9 PTP is DEFECTIVE for this reason:

The Mags are all weak as the thin rails that hold the mag base plate onto the mag break. Two micro thin ridges are all that hold the plate onto the mag. These edges are small and snap off with very little use. Once the plate falls off the mag will become stuck in the magwell to the point where a tool must be used to dislodge it and remove it from the pistol.

You do know you don't have to pull the slide back when you put a mag in and the slide is already locked back right? All you have to do is push the slide lock down.

Or it could be the minor problem that the KWA/KSC version 1 M9s have a problem that sometimes the blow back airflow is in a forward position that blocks the tip of the magazine and blocking it from being fully inserted. I have this problem with my m93R but it can be easily fixed by lubricating it.

On real handguns with heavy springs its better to pull the slide back after putting in a new mag so that the slide release doesn't wear down.

If it does wear down then the slide wont lock back after the last shot. just knowledge on real guns, not sure about the airsoft version.

Man, this gun makes an awesome "cluckachk" when you slip the mag in. And when you pull back the slide it's a nice shallow, fast "chleek", btw where did you buy you M9 PTP? Also, does any part of the gun feel cheap, like is there any play in the slide, etc.?

if the KWA colt is anything like the KSC version, which the internals are pretty much, it sucks, don't buy it. I had one and it was fun at first (it was my first gas gun) but it did suck pretty damn hard considered to other KSC and KWA guns.
