  • Do you know where all of the sirens are located? I need a list of them please.

  • Man, this brings back oddly fond memories of living in the south. I always loved how these sounded!

  • The "growl" sound it produces when winding up and winding down is just unbelievable.

  • @Chingstrom oh yeah it sure is!

  • it's the service drive's brother!!

  • They probably swapped out the whole head...That would explain the different chopper level...It's a lot easier to just swap out the head than it is to replace the chopper. Sounds nice and healthy, too!

  • @LouisvilleTorn8o oh ok. the head looked the same with the little screen left in the top of the horn and the way the screen bracket was crooked at the bottom of the horn. i always thought the RCM (if thats what you call it) had a switch that you could change the voltage of the chopper from 1-7 (i dont know a whole lot about that obviously :D )

  • @amtrak3501 there kind of is. there are 7 screw terminals in the lower right. connecting the wire to terminal 1 is chopper level 1, and so on.

  • WAIT! Why did they replace the chopper? Glad they FINALLY did something to the siren instead of ignoring it. Awesome video.

  • @mohkfry thats why im gonna call the ema guy and ask why he did that. needless to say i was in shock when it fired up

  • This was the 1000 you recorded back in August?

  • @97Siren didnt read the description i guess, but yes

  • I think this tbolt was in my dream, only it was on a really tall pole

  • Wow I wonder why they did that lol. It seems like whenever a Tbolt has its chopper replaced, it goes to being the opposite from what it was before

  • @carexpertandy it sure seems like it. i really wanted to hear it the way it was b4 the belts snapped. so now every thunderbolt in Elkhart sounds like this.

  • Holy crap!!!!! I guess this is what they meant by "a few other things were replaced"

    wonder why they did it

  • @ND1003 surprised they didnt put a screen in the horn. im gonna call the ema guy and ask why he had the chopper replaced

  • Wow, talk about going overboard with fixing lol. I wonder why they changed out the chopper when apparently the old one was just fine? Sounds sweet though, glad they FINALLY got it fixed!

  • @murrfarms i dont understand that either, but yeah good to know this siren can finally warn downtown of severe weather. glad the new ema guy cares about the sirens.
