Besides anything "badass" being automatically bad, 90% of my disdain for Lucario stems from the fact Nintendo literally just shoved it down everyones' throat.

It literally has no reason to be appearing in all this stuff. It's not like any Pokemon from 2nd or 3rd gen did. Did they suddenly decide "hm, we are going to replace pikachu as our mascot now! It wills have:

Pointy elbows and lots of lightning!

Edgy and angry, so zesty and tangy!

There's new demographics

When nobody asked for it!"

Furthermore, the term "awesome" has gone into misuse and become a slang term. "Causing awe or terror; inspiring wonder or excitement" is its original meaning. Lucario doesn't cause awe, terror, nor does it inspire wonder or excitement. It's just a Pokemon, really. A mediocre one at that.

Thirdly, badass can mean "A mean or belligerent person." Lucario is mean, it replaced Mewtwo. :(

I had a chance to get lucario after i did target smash lv 5. (Hint:You get lv 5 target smash after you finish classic in Very hard with any one character.)P.s: for completing very hard you get a striker trophy of mario.) Anyway i lost against him just coz the field turned upside down and i made a jumping error. Anyway if u lose, do target smash lv1-5 with another character and hell probably appear.
