That park was cursed, that steel didn't bend because of carbon, steel bends easily because of lack of strontium, and American steel is 89% strontium, which means that it wasn't because lack of carbon, the fire was hot enough to melt the steel.

its almost demolished only the coaster and part of the main building at the entance are left and other stuff could'nt get much of a glymps a few days ago

this was one of my favorite places to go for years..... im near chippewa and alot of friends lived in chippewa, it was such an amazing place. The last couple of times i was there before winter hit, they already started tearing it down, once spring feels a little closer i plan on going back, but im a little apprehensive because if its completely gone I'm going to cry. Does anybody know what this park holds now? Is it completely demolished? How sad!

i was just there filming last weekend...all the trees are gone. next month they're starting to tear down the coaster....

I was there today (June 16) and the coaster is untouched, its the only part of the park with any untouched trees, as I'm guessing they'll have to tear the trees and coaster in one massive effort. There was a sign for a tour July 11, so there's a decent chance it'll still be there. Word of mouth is that security has gotten a lot worse and we actually saw a guy in a truck inside the gate, so be careful if you don't plan on going July 11 ; )

a collector took the coaster cars of the "Big Dipper" out of the park for restoration

Soooo love the opening segment when you enter the park...fast-motioned...and moving about like excitable kids...twirling and such :) So much energy in that introduction...recalls both the excitement of past park experiences and the fervor of exploring today :)

im now sure. they are currently filming a horror movie in there, called "Closed for the season" in wich "the rides will come to life"

after the filming is done, the demolishing will start. i got this from cleveland d0t c0m

Yep. They didn't have enough money to keep the park open, and they made an attempt to have gambling on the site, but the state rejected it, thus destroying the park. They were going to revamp the park with the money from gambling, but obviously it never happened...

I have been to Marineland in Palos Verdes Peninsula, before they turned the park into the Terranea Resort, i almost got caught onces but blended in with the mexican fishermen, & took the dangerous coast road to Portuguese bay !
