I guess this is what Mortal Online tried to be. I never "wanted" to like Darkfall, but I have to commend them for what they have achieved. Since it seems to be profitable enough for making expansions for it.

LoL I also quit Aion for Darkfall. You may be giving up some pretty graphics but Darkfall's graphics are still impressive (except for spell effects) and the gameplay is simply out of this world unique. Its like oldschool UO reborn! If you like easy-mode , save yourself the trouble of playing it tho. This game is not easy on you in the slightest.

@Zarklon22 I quite playing wow a long time ago because of the battle system alone. I got addicted to pvp and I ended up not progressing for an amount of time because of it. I heard about this game from a friend in class a year ago when it was in beta. now I watch youtube videos of it. I WANNA PLAY THIS SO BADLY IT HURTS! I'd be playing the 15 day free trail but I'm on a mac and I have to get windows partitioned on here with bootcamp first. then after that I need MONEY! ugh

What do they mean now that they conquered the village it's "theirs for 6 hours til it becomes vulnerable again"? Don't they own it til someone else takes it from them? They only make the money from taxes for 6 hours? That's lame if so

Its yours for 6 hours or more.  Villages become vulnerable every 6 hours, so if someone decides to attack it when its vulnerable you stop receiving money.

BTW siege hammers are bugged or they drain so little stamina that if you eat one food you dont lose any stam while using a siege hammer.

thats true... one of the reasons why i quit DFO is due to the skilling grind (really omg)

I just wish it was a game where (NAKED cannot fight with starter weapons (so annoying) and when you started... you have basically an even chance of killing a skilled player tho, the skill player would know how to combat different types of weapons... so its all even....

but ya... i just wish DFO was like that

Not yet anyways, in the future when they add player customization for bows, it might have an option for it but its a slim chance, sounds like it would be way OP.

do you realize the cost of commercial disk distribution? your talkin mad money. nothing like paying devs already on your staff. Marketings damn expensive. They would if they could. You give it time, when the games fully ready, and they have some more funding it will come. I'm sure they are looking to complete the game how it was designed before public marketing/sales. In time it will all happen. You gota give credit to av where its deserved.

I think the creators should concentrate more on making this game larger, distributing disks to major shops/companies and making more money overall before releasing expansions.
