All of the games seem to have a theme of some sort. RBY was the original, and the songs are the basis for all those afterward (especially evident with these, as all of the following are merely remixes of the first). GSC always just took the original, and either sped it up or upped the pitch, and then made it a bit more complex. RSE always seemed to go for a very bombastic, grandiose approach to everything with full orchestra. DP has everything the opposite of RSE, more somber and calm.

1.RSE-Finally a good Hoenn song IMO. Very epic sounding. This song is very well put together. Takes the original and improves it.

2.RBY-The classic song that sets the template for all the others. A very relaxing song to hear after a tough fight.

3.GBC-Takes the original and adds drums. A good song but doesnt change much. More of a evolution than revolution.

4.DPPT-Too slow and quiet sounding. Takes a step back in terms of improvement. Feels like little to no effort in composing of this song.

If you turn your text to slow (options), and don't press A, AND if the Gym Leader has much to say after the batlle, then maybe you can hear the full Victory Music. Never tried this before though.

P.S.: In fact all Victory Musictracks are the same.
