Just stay away from Athens, even though I don't think it would be anymore dangerous there than the last time you were there, strikes and protests could potentially ruin your vacation in other ways. I traveled to Athens, Santorini and Crete back in 2000. Is safe for Americans to go there now, with all the economic difficulties in Greece?
