could you please tell me if these are shy animals? for examples how they react when they see or hear something?

I am asking because I want some in my aquarium in my living room, and there are people passing by and so one...

please help

I`m not an expert... but I think they are not shy fish. If U put some plants they should feel safe. Empty tanks and ugly plain/white gravel always scares fish!!! IMO

I'm just asking your personal opinion and especially your experience. I also have a tank with black gravel and a lot of plants.

but i also want to see the fishes a lot, my Paracheirodon axelrodi feel good but most of the time they are swimming in or behind the plants, and that's a bit of a shame.

I want to see them, to you see what I mean?
