its much easier to remove cotter pin, loosen castle nut, smack top of knuckle hard with hammer till ball joint frees up, remove castle nut... now remove upper control arm, find big socket that fits over the top of ball joint (like shown with metal tube) next turn control arm upside down on the ground or work bench, last, hit threaded end of ball joint hard, it will fall right out with one or two good hits...
bunch of hella flush fanboys dont even know what you're talking about. no shit no ones wants positive camber, you want zero degrees of camber, maybe -0.5 degrees. theres no point in having a camber kit if you want negative camber because lowering the cars ride height gives you a ton of negative camber anyways. a camber kit is to restore camber back to factory specs.
Now, it would have been easier to take the upper control arm off of the car and pressed the ball joint out on a vise instead of coming up with the pipe extention thing. Work smart not hard.
you could just buy the camber kit that includes the upper control arms and skip all of this extra work as all you do is switch out the upper control arms and your done.
@paddetail Nope. There is just enough clearance. I also have adjustable coilover shocks so I can adjust the height of my car. You will need to play around to find out how low your car can go yet still be functional.
Very helpful video... Thx man. Add'l tip: if ur doing it on a 92-95 Civic after you take off the rubber boot, the is a circle clip at the underside top you want to remove first (this clip is what keeps the ball joint from pushing out thru the top). This will make it alot easier, u may not even need C-clamp cuz it will come out. After you remove it, u "may" need to sand or shave the inner circle opening "a little" like 0.4 mil so that it doesn't bend anything while Camberkit going in but stil
cool video, do u know if camber kits for different car's lets say toyota's or nissan's are the same as this, do most camber kitz go on the upper control arm?? it looks simple to install, good video!
Hey on the rotors did you have 4 bolts holding it in? An if so did you take them out? Cause on my car I have them and they machined my new rims to fit in the extra grooves and I need my tires rotated and don't wanna pay again to have them cut
@MrChristurmental I got it from a direct buyer, the same place BigO Tires gets them from. I just asked them where the warehouse was that they get them from and then I went there. Instead of buying them for $115 from BigO I went direct.
My friends last Camber kit for his rear right wheel didnt come in the mail on time... He looked like a fucking idiot driving with one non Camber tire LOL!!!
@sweetlikeADAM i may be 15 and i may not own a car... but i do work on cars with my sister... yes my sister. and i did the same thing this guy did... i just finished working on a type-r dc2 honda integera and its cambers are insane anyway imma put up a video on how i did the cambers... were was i ohh ya why dont you put a video up on how to put cambers up the right way since ur the master at it cuz ur calling this diy mechanic a n00b i wanna watch the vid
I asked Big-O Tires where they get the kit. They directed me to their wholesaler. I was able to get the kit 50% cheaper from the lowest priced kits on the internet.
i have a question i got my camber kit on and adjusted to the proper positive camber if my car steering wheel pulls to the right should i consider a alighnment

slickrc 11 months ago
non-concave = Convex. lol thank me later buddy.
AndyRoddick969 11 months ago
i saw u had drilled/slotted rotors. my question is, where they the same size(diameter) as stock? and what brand
slickrc 11 months ago
@slickrc i would assume its the same diameter, because your brake caliper needs to fit back on.
AndyRoddick969 11 months ago
they are just the stock rotors. I used my friends tools to drill and slot them.
