  • And nobody comments on the dancing woman? Or is there something wrong with my eyesight? I never see dancing women on my Modular. How do you do that ;-)

  • Wow...I never thought to use logic gates to control synthesizer modules...very cool that some companies have built digital logic modules.

  • @Voltor07 They've actually been around in the modular world for ages.

  • @emdotambient Yeah, I'm just getting my feet wet with modular synths...so there's still a lot of modules I haven't explored. There's just as many that are simply out of my price range that I can't even consider...but someday, perhaps, I'll get serious about building up a modular synth.

  • Very nice! I've been seriously neglectimg my little collection of logic modules. Somehow I got unsubscribed to your channel, but I think I've corrected that.

  • Didn't understand a word but sounds great!!

  • Very cool

  • Checks both inputs for HIGH and only outputs HIGH if:

    AND = Both are HIGH

    OR = Any are HIGH

    XOR = One or the Other, but not Both are HIGH

    NAND = One or the other or Neither, but not Both are High

    See...is cofoosing =8S

  • Another cool vid John - well done! Nice rhythms and tones.

  • absolutely love this!!!!!! such a sick riff when all is "back in"

  • X = eXclusive

    N = Not (or iNverted)

    XOR is like OR but it is more picky ;-)

  • Hello John, great sounds, cool stereo-pannings!!!*****.......best regards.....Bruno

  • Blowed up real good! Great demo...thanks! For me it's the nominclature that stops me from understanding Booleans. I mean AND and OR are clear enough, but XOR and NOR just mess me up. I keep thinking there has to be better discriptors than these. ;)

  • @emdotambient NOR is simply inverted output OR One or other or both inputs gets output.. NAND is inverted output AND. XOR one or the other inputs gets an output but not both at the same time. Hope that helps.

  • @Booger6995 It does ;) I hadn't thought of the inverting an OR or AND...now I understand why the CGS Pulse Divider/Boolean Logic module has two inverters on it.

  • @emdotambient Pretty cool huh. Wait till you got a circuit full of these gates. Gets real fun trying to figure out the logic on the output.
