Rohrl had the E2 which he had just won the Semperit Rally in Austria and which was fitted with a five speed semiautomatic Porsche PDK gearbox matted to a Torsen Gleasen Cenre differential.

Mikkola's car used the six-speed gearbox with a Ferguson viscous coupling controlling the centre differential.

Is this the rally where audi ran the PDK-gearbox,and if so,was it just Rohrl`s car or Mikkula`s car too?

you can hear the difference when each change gear. Walter's gear change sounds more smooth but Hannu's is just a regular gearbox.
