LOL that isnt 6ft. no where close to 6 ft. im 6ft tall and the top of the car is at my head. That is like 2.5-3 ft. A LR can go through that as well. Both RR and Porsche are great SUVs. They are completely different cars. The RR can do what they showed you and a RR can be on its side at 45 degrees. LR still the off road king. The Cayenne is a street performance SUV with a little/some off road capability.

Land Rover was the first company to develop electronic gear holding technology and it was introduced in 1999 on the discovery II. That was not 6 feet deep at the point they went through, would had to have been fitted with a snorkel to even be capable of something like that.

@SlimBugga I don't know if you live in the U.S., but I've never seen a guy drive a range rover, only rich housewives and the Kardashians. The RR is soft and cushy. Also, the Cayenne is not a crossover. For the Cayenne to be a crossover, it would have to would have to share a platform (frame) with a car, which the Cayenne does not. While the RR is capable, it is definitely a chick car. Cayenne's looks vary a lot by the wheels and model, but it looks nothing like a Lexus or Infiniti.

@sullyFL I do live in the U.S. Technically, it may not be a crossover but it looks like one. I have seen about 7 people driving RR's in the past couple of months. 2 were women and 5 were men. I think RR's can go either way, but I would not call it a "chick car" at all. I'm actually surprised to see a women driving a car that big. The RR is appealing to house wives, business men, rappers, and I'm sure lots of NFL and NBA players like them as well. I'll take a Turbo with the right color combo

The interior is gorgeous and quite an improvement, at least athletically. Almost as if the previous Cayenne was actually a few generations ago. I'm not upset they got rid of some off-road options (no more mechanical locking diff) going to what I presume is brake based...though it seemed to do quite well. Other than snow, I would not take this off road and anyone that buys this can afford to own a dedicated 4x4 to have for off road shenanigans.

as cool as it is im sorry but im not using a cayenne to go to the track so that carbon ceramic breaks and what not seem useless... Looks are too sporty, dosen't even look like an suv. I mean its only my opinion but i think the Range Rover is still the best, it has this sense of prestige and elegance no suv can match to date. This vehicle wowed me the day it came out. I couldn't take it seriously. A Porsche SUV? are you serious? Who the hell is gonna take this vehicle seriously? This thing ended up having the last laugh in the end by being the best selling Porsche out there and proving me wrong. I actually likes the two generations. But my biggest gripes were two things. Fuel Efficiency and price. The 2nd generation fixed the fuel efficiency problem. But it's still highly expensive.

Oh, they are probably more capable then this Porsche, but really, how many are going to take their $50K+ SUVs off-roading (5%, at most). @m5loverx i agree with you! with time we end up seeing the beauty behind that design. i have test driven the turbo twice in two different areas and amazingly this vehicle is great. it feels very rigid and comfortable at normal speed(60 Kph) and once you push it, it responds brutally as well. it takes corners on highways like a sedan. i cannot compare it to BMW X6M or X5M because i have not driven neither of them, but opted for this car because of its seemingly strength and quality. i can agree with you about the electronic system and the nav system is crap in the range, my dad has the 2008 Range Rover sport it is still agreat car and he has not had any electronic problems with it but im aware that others do. ALTHOUGH the Range Rover and sport in my mind the two best Suv's on the market today especialy with the new 2010 interior, extra 100hp standard on both models and 510 hp if u get super charged, the fierce look design, Also the fact that is a very manly looking suv.

For most men the obvious choice is the Range b/c of the prestige it comes with and the regal statment it makes. Half the time the radio, nav, back up camera, etc... don't work in the car. Its just a huge pain in the ass. It rides ok in the city but that's as much of a compliment it'll get form me.
