I’m a Megatron, ultimate fighter, bouncer, bodyguard, navy seal, cowboy, Special Forces ARMY ranger, black-belt iron chef, super hero, cage fighter, bounty hunter, super Ninja guy, and I’ve used this technique several times. Always it ended in bloodshed. This move can kill a village of 341 people. I’ve done it several times. Next time a friend tries to hug you, use this technique, and then rip their spine out, and use the bones for tooth-picks.
i disagree, how about another hand of his,it's still free and uncontrollable. And when someone tried to beat you, they WILL NOT raise their arm like that. Are they trying to give you a hug or what?????????????
i disagree, how about another hand of his,it's still free and uncontrollable. And when someone tried to beat you, they WILL NOT raise their arm like that. Are they trying to give you a hug or what?????????????
This technique works very well if you apply speed & force to it.I'm a former bouncer & soldier & personally used it.Once applied, elbow can be broken like a BJJ armbar.
this is really great for when you get into a fight and instead of beating the crap out of you, a guy decides to stop punching and gently put his arm around your shoulder, then waits for you to take him down.
nice work -- can you show us what to do when someone stops stomping on you, then carefully places his ankle in a vulnerable spot and waits until you're ready to 'take him down to chinatown?'
I think these Redshift Lab guys should stay in the lab. That takedown only works AS a take down. You try to hold someone down like that, and you're liable to get put in one hell of a mean choke.
hey- the way it's shown here, it is hard. But if you slide out a little on the elbow it's vicious. But these guys hardly look like they know what they're doing. If you have some (big)guy with his arm near or around your neck you've done something BAD wrong or DARN RIGHT, at that point you're left with the best 2 options: poke the eyes/throat; or groin kick. That eliminates "size" in a fight!
its not over once your in that position. if your on the street or on the battlefeild you need to neutralise that opponent and get up to deal with others. its an easy place to stomp or kick from, there are some ok elbow snaps from there but personally i dont like the idea of going down with an opponent when not on the mat. if you go down your in a bad position to deal with others. but its your call if you want to be at kicking level when in a fight. some can deal, i wouldnt risk it personally
that technique is older than dirt and used to simply showboat with, it is never applicable in a real fight because no one is going to hug you and the only time they put their arm to your neck like that is in case of a stun takedown where they pull your opposite leg from under you, machida karate has an illustration of it somewhere, lyotto machida is performing the maneuver. I'm sorry for bashing your videos this much but you deserve it this is all garbage that looks good but never works.
your a very good example of why people who post videos shut off the comments section. who on earth are you to say that this technique never works? people never hug you, have you heard of grappling, the clinch? honestly go over your comment and ask yourself from what authority you speak. i have personally used this technique twice in recent memory in fights, it does work if you know how to work it and know when the opponent is open to have it applied to them. dont deal in absolutes.
I train at M.A.S.H. MMA gym in michigan in both brazilian jiu jitsu and myu tai I've even attended numerous boxing training sessions, most of us at M.A.S.H. compete. With that said, I've never seen that technique used in a match. It is all smoke an mirrors, moves we were taught by our childhood tae kwon do teachers that merely look impressive and give the illusion of functionality.
you train in mma, good for you i wish you luck in all your bouts. i cross train mma, but predominantly train for combat as opposed to sport, no disrespect intended to sportsmen, they are very good at what they do, but fighting in real life, for your life, is very different. i wont explain to you how you are wrong in your previous comment because arguments over youtube are often pointless, i merely advise you to rethink your opinion. mma is a sport, it doesnt use all the fighting techniques.
i try to train in everything but i have most experience in judo, jujitsu (trad not bjj) and kyokushinkai karate, but i use techniques from nearly every art, inc kung fu, silat, muay thai and boran and tkd. every fighting form has something to offer the combatant, even sports and the more arty martial arts. going to get into some krav, i train with some krav guys. i train combat (street fighting some call it) and mma for fun. yourself?
Let me ask you a quick question: do any of your boys at the gym train this technique? Have they put time into tuning it, understanding it, and then drilling it??? The thing about most MMA guys(no personal insult) is they say they train BJJ and Thai- then call it "mixed". That's all anyone needs nowadays, right? No one ever does Kali, Silat, Jeet Kune Do, Systema, Judo, Maphilindo, and Krabi Krabong..... NOW THAT's mixing it up. AND THAT'S WHY you don't see these techniques in the ring!
Very effective, used it numerous time in real situations when the opponent was armed with a knife. What i do is when you put your opponent down, i put my knee on his free arm so its useless. Knock it out.
its not 'over' if the other person had a knife in his pocket that he can grab with his other hand... Bleeding kidney, bleeding liver, bleeding bladder... yeah its likely to be 'over' for you.
to all you guys knocking the move in the video, these guys are not aiming it at mma, these guys are aiming the move at drunken idiots or bullies in the street, were i believe this would be an excellent move for the most basic of fighters, stop knocking the guy,its a very good move for the street,as a majority come in swinging, its something else in your arsenal,so whats up with that
Grab my arm... not that arm the other arm... no your other arm. This guy is like the karate expert who has to take his shoes off to fight. wait a minute dont hit me yet!?!
I take it by calling me a 'noob' wen u know nothing about me ur either a child or a moron, which is fine. my point is this move is a crap version of a good 1. of course u can disagree and try it. good luck :)
lol, yeh it really is quite pathetic. any1 with any real MA experience should know this is stupid. also funny the way he points at the camra and snarls it! haha
try that technique outside a dojo with someone who gets into scrapes and you will be the one feeling it....right then. this guy is silly. these vids of practice where people stand still and you are amazed by the result are very dangerous. you will get hurt.
Urgh! Fuck, where to begin? No explanation, no follow-through to the ground with the camera. WTF is this? With the right ammount of force the shoulder may separate, but that gaurantees nothing and I think they're trying to demo a lock. It looks like a poor man's version of the "thousand-year lock" from jujitsu, but your assailant needs to be totally flat on his face. And what if he rotates dynamically into you? Now you're hugging like lovers! Seriously, anyone who does this is just too drunk.
Why would someone put their arm on you like that in a fight; seems like a friendly gesture? That's like "hey buddy, how you been?", and then you're like "i'm really not your friend after all, and I'm going to fucking kill you now".
@odessaboy Are you dumb? when someone tries to grab you over your shoulder, you can do this. These moves(over the shoulder) are used in judo, jiu-jitsu and by some dumb people who don't know how to fight.
@odessaboy these guys did not give the correct context, this lock applies if someone is reaching out to try to grab your neck, you step into it, then preform the demonstrated lock
