Haha, well with mics and adjusting sound, you can make almost any kit sound amazing. I'm not even good at messing with that kind of stuff, but it's not very difficult to get a good sound out of a kit.

I paid close to $6,000 for the entire set up (drums, hardware, cymbals). I'm planning on having this kit for a VERY long time. I actually just bought another one last summer for about $700. I use it for shows and it sounds great. You don't need to go expensive.

Thanks, dude! Honestly, I'm not sure what mics they are. I moved away from home, and the mics are my fathers. I'll ask him what they are. I think the got the entire set of mics for $100! They're nothing special but they sound alright.

Have you tried putting the mic underneath the snare by the spring? It might give you a closer sound to Mike P. It made mine a bit brighter and more sensitive.

No I haven't tried it, but I'll definitely experiment with that. I wish I would have had time to do more recordings this summer but I was only able to do one, and I wasn't able mess around with the mic placement and mastering as much as I would have liked. Hopefully during Christmas break I can do a bit more.

Nice cover I play a similar kit custom session maple SRX with 10, 12, 13,14,16, toms 14 snare and 2 22x18 bass drums I love my kit although I don't play it quite as good as you do. Keep spankin those skins!

Great cover, just one thing

The chorus section of song, you should look over the drum vid of mic, because the other fills that he does in that part are pretty sweet.

Other than that, this is the best cover of this song i have seen.
